dose not hurt anyone and the person is happy. Morals in society are decreasing. People are starting to accept things that were wrong and say it is now O.K.
Like in examples: homosexuality and abortion
What is now considered wrong like Bestiality may one day be O.K. if animals can consent.
Assisted Suicide may one day be considered not murder if people in society said it was the person choice to die so it is O.K.

in the bible Jesus says clearly ...I am the way ...the truth ...and the life
and at another place in the bible God says ...i place before you life and death ...a blessing and a curse ...choose life ...that you and your children may live ...and possess the land.
choosing life requires honesty...
jesus made an honest evaluation and realized that he was the only one without sin ...and it was his job to take the punishment that we all deserve ...because God ...the father said clearly ...no one with sin in their life will be allowed into heaven ...
so jesus hung and died a horrible death so that we dont have to.
when he hung there in agony ...he was giving us a clear picture of what will happen to all of us sinners ...if we choose not to repent ... and instead... choose to take our own punishment ...bur it wont last for the short time that jesus hung there ...it will last forever
the solution is simple...and it too requires an honest evaluation.
all that God asks is that we also be honest ...and admit that we commit sins ...and he also requires that we ask Jesus to forgive our sins and come into our life and help us to live as we should in this immoral world...and follow what it says in the lord's prayer ...so that we are blessed and not cursed.
there is a war between what is good and what is bad in the world ...it is simply because siners have a degree of power in this world and they hate the fact that anyone would point out that they are sinners.
so...the sinners are using the freedoms that we all have a right to ... in order to attack morality ...they fight legal battles against morality and make laws to limit morality wherever they can get away with it ...they make these laws in the name of freedom of expression to protect pornography for instance.
...the colleges and universities have been taken over by immoral people ... and they control the procees of education ...they require students to think like them ...if a student disagrees ... their grades and career possibilities are affected.
...the media has worked hard for years to destroy morality as well ...most of the owners of the media hate morality and mock it every chance they get.
there is a legal organization called the ACLJ (american center for law and justice) that fights to preserve decency ...as well as organizations like the American Christian Heritage Foundation ...that produce educational material for home schoolers and morally based schools.
every generation must fight darkness ...all it takes for evil to succeed ...is that good people do nothing.

How can slavery, racism, the women voting issue,
and prohibition even be compared to those morals
you mentioned?
They can't be compared to any of today's hot topic issues
if you really consider them.
Abortion and end of life decisions are life/death issues.
The right to life is our first, greatest, most important constitutional right.
Abortion is murder, plain an simple.
Euthanasia has a LOT of problems with killing
those with disabilities - can be twisted around.
so easily. They are very crucial topics.
Life is not valued morally as it should be and needs
to be - the lack leads to anarchy in
reality.
The homosexual marriage issue has a lot of
problems people don't consider as well.
The only reason marriage was ever political
was to recognize an already existing religious
rite. Marriage is religious by nature.
It is union before God.
It should not be called marriage at all between
same sex partners - it is a completely new thing
and can only be called civil union by any
definition.
The motivations are incorrect.
Every person has the same right to marry
someone of the opposite sex only.
No rights are actually being infringed upon!
Also, the gay right movement is promoting
things that go severely against freedom of
speech and support of propaganda.

For the record, homosexuality has been around since the beginning of time, as are abortions. Bestiality on the other hand, ugh. As far as assisted suicide, it's their choice. None of these have anything to do with morals. Your morals may not be the same as someone elses. That simple.

Because things that don't hurt anyone and make people happy ARE OK.
Some of the things that Christians have decided are "moral" or "not moral" are nothing more than superstitious nonsense.
Don't use the "bestiality" argument. People have thrown in the "what's next, we'll be giving animals the right to vote / have equal rights / get married" every time someone is asking for equal rights. It's old, tired, childish, and has been proven to be utter poppycock time and time again.

1) Which person's morals should we adopt? Should we go back to the 1800's morals when slavery was moral, and churches (Southern Baptist) thought it ordained by God...are these good morals?
2) Morals that in the 1950's kept black people from eating in the same restaurants, drinking from the same fountains
3) Morals from the early 1900's that said women were not worthy to be able to vote?
4) Morals from prohibition that said alcohol was wrong...eventhough, Jesus drank wine?
Your opinion of interpretation of scripture may lead you to believe that something is right or wrong...however, it does not mean that all people will agree with your opinion of interpretation.....'
So, we have to allow everyone to make decisions for their own lives. We cannot police the world in those matters that do not concern us, or an innocent unable to speak for themselves.
Why do you feel the need to stand in judgement of other people's morals? Are you trying to look at other people, to avoid looking at your own dark life?

how are you going to get the animal to consent? is there a specific bark that says "it's ok for my owner to have sex with me"? or maybe they can just put their paw print on a contract or something. ludicris.
beastiality is a far far far stretch from homosexuality. if i have to hear one more "next we'll be allowed to do it with sheep!" speech, i'm going to lose it. use your head.
behave the way you feel you ought to, and everyone else will do the same. there is no blanket definition of morality, it is different from person to person. why do you have to be so afraid of any action that you deem unacceptable? newsflash: there are many, many different ways to live. they can't all be right, but they can't all be wrong, either.

An animal cannot consent because it is an animal. That's like corpse abuse: it's a corpse, so it can't consent. A child cannot consent because it is a child. These are non-arguments.
Homosexuality, abortion, and end-of-life decisions are issues of adults making their own decisions (like whether or not they can afford to feed, clothe and educate a child or who they love, or if the artificial means of prolonging their life is worth the pain). Why do you think this is your business?

May I respond with another question??
Two men in a private bedroom, doors closed. Please explain to everyone here how that DIRECTLY AFFECTS YOUR LIFE.
Fact is, it doesnt - so why are you against it? A mother aborting an unwanted fetus - how does that DIRECTLY affect you?? Again, it doesnt. But, her being forced to have that child will affect you and I directly - in raised taxes to care for the unwanted children that are forced to be carried to term and born. Assisted Suicide - have you ever suffered from a disease that causes much pain and suffering?? And, if that person chooses to end their suffering, how does that affect YOU?
Animals cannot consent. Beastiality will never be acceptable.
Homosexuality, abortion and assisted suicide do not affect you directly. So, why do you seek to make an effect on them?

Because people want to do what they want, rather than what's right. They sugarcoat their actions and twist verbage to make it sound better. (It's not killing a baby, it's "aborting a mass of cells". Homosexuality isn't two of the same sex fornicating, they are "just two people 'naturally' attracted to each other") It's sad how our culture is in such a downward spiral.

Because things that don't hurt anyone and make you happy are good, by definition.
Or will you stop feeding your kids, giving blood, etc. if I can show you a book that says it's a "sin" to do these things?
LuxuryClass (below): Thou Shalt Not Lie. Stop telling lies about atheists. To say that we are for things like rape and murder is nothing short of slander.
