I do get annoyed but why not let them have the place before you and let the others behind you cuss you as well as those who cut the line to begin with. It makes it alot of fun..

I think saying that I get annoyed when someone does this is an understatement.

The first thing I will do in this situation is assume that the person didn't notice me standing there. Some people really are so wrapped up in what they're doing, they don't notice other people. I'll slap a nice smile on my face and say, "Pardon me, but I believe I was already in line." Most times, the person realizes they made a mistake or is very embarrassed that I spoke up about their rude behavior, will utter a hasty apology and move.

However. There are some people who mean to be rude and will continue to be rude. In this situation, they'll tell me I'm wrong and refuse to move. In which case, I will inform the cashier that I was first in line and that I would like a manager over here to help resolve the situation. It seems like such a little thing to make a stand over, but I've found it's the little things that can push you over the edge.

Not only does that annoy me, but it's also one of my biggest pet peeves. I can't STAND it when people feel the need to be that rude!
Usually, if I'm waiting in line and someone decides that I'm apparently not as important as they are and they should be ahead of me, I give them a light tap on the shoulder and say very politely and with a smile "Oh, I'm sorry, I was in line". This one works pretty well because you catch more flies with honey than you do vinegar. The usual response to this is "Oh! OK! Excuse me! I'm so sorry!" and moving out of the way. HOWEVER, I have been in such incidents where people just look at me like I'm crazy when I politely let them know I was ahead of them. One person even had the nerve to say "SO?". In THESE instances, I tap them on the shoulder again and say in a more sarcastic tone "No, I don't think you understand the concept of a LINE. I was here first. You should probably wait in line BEHIND ME like everyone else." If this is followed by yet another rude remark, I have no problem whatsoever with getting right back in front of that person and sticking to my guns. For example, if this happens at a grocery store, I make sure my buggy is where that person can't get around it. I've even had the manager called on me for this! Thank goodness for security cameras!

I had an old woman cut in front of me. The funny thing is, she stood behind me for about 5 mins..then when she realized the line was not moving as fast as she wanted it to, she moved slowly like she was looking at something and soon stood right in front of me like she was there the whole time. I didnt say anything, but i sighed really heavily and tapped my foot and stared her down the entire time. I think she got the point, but i was too shocked that an old lady would do that to say anything!

I get very annoyed. When this happens, I politely tell them that like I did, they need to take their place at the end of the line & wait their turn.

i say really loud "excuse you, do i look invisible, bc u just stood in front of me" usually people like that are so damn rude they dont give a crap so it usually ends up in me cursing them out and threatening their life. i had this woman, not ask, but demand that she be next bc she was in a rush, meanwhile my hands were full (overflowing) i told her to take a hike and wait behind. she refused and with her cane dashed in front of me. i was soo stunned at the rudeness esp since my aRMS WERE SO FULL AND I WAS CLEARLY NEXT. i started screaming loudly to everyone in the store how this lady how this rude ***** cut me and shes a giant faker using a cane when she was clearly running around the store. all the employees were laughing in her face. i hate people that cant wait their turn.

This actually happened to me the other day in the restroom at Wal-Mart. The lady cut in front of me to go into a stall that had just been vacated by a young girl. I said "oh, excuse me", she said " I am sorry I thought that was your daughter." I said no and then she excused herself and allowed me to go into the stall. I would of let her go, it was no big deal, I just wanted her to know that I was aware that she had stepped in front of me.

Never happened to me. I'm over six feet in heels, and, according to all who know and adore me, I cut an intimidating figure. In the timeless words of Mr. T from the A team:
"I pity the fool who will try that crap with me".

I tell them that the line starts back there. Sometimes they honestly didn't know that they cut in line (such as a Kohl's where they have lots of registers but just one line).

Depends. More often than not they've been caught by the clerk or ticket person, and told to go to the end of the line. Otherwise, I ignore them - I'm just not in that big a hurry anymore.
