I live in the north and we deal with 30-50 below at times in the winter. I am not fond of the cold but I do love Christmas. So I start planning for Christmas. I make most of my gifts, so you have to start early and plan ahead.

Find things you like that will give you pleasure and make the time to summer again seam a little shorter.

When I was a child we would get a card table out and work jig saw puzzles all winter long. It was fun, challenging, an activity every one, even the smallest can help with and can be limited to winter so you have something to look forward to in the winter months.

Girl, I cannot wait for fall. I live in Georgia and we've had serious drought issues this summer. It's so humid and I cannot remember my last good hair day! You should look forward to the cool breezes, the changing of the leaves into fire-y colors, and buying a new jacket. I'm not going to miss this summer at all!

P.S. You could always save your money up and go somewhere warm this winter. :-)

I'll switch places with you. It is sooo hot here. I'm not a big fan of high temps and I can't tan so living here s*cks during July, August & September. Sometimes July and October are too hot, also.
I guess the winter is OK. Occasionally it will snow but we had plenty of 70 + days last winter.
