Your cat probably got worms again from that puppy at your parents house. I would go to the vet ASAP and tell them what happened and they will probably give you a dewormer. If your cat is an indoor cat, I would clean everything she comes in contact with. Her litter box, toys and bedding. INCLUDING YOUR bedding! Also, be aware that a lot of times, worms are passed from one animal to the next by fleas. So make sure your cat is bathed and has no fleas and clean the carpet and maybe even put a flea bomb in your house to rid the house of fleas.

De-worming is not a one time thing. There is a chance that when he was de-wormed he reinfected himself. You need to make sure to do a fecal before and after de-worming. It is also very easy to contract worms especially in a new environment. You need to gt him to a vet ASAP as some worms can cause intestinal damage. You will need a fecal done in order to determine what kind of worms to treat for. Make sure that once the treatment begins you clean the littler box as soon as he uses it and completely clean it and the area around it with disinfectant about every two days until the end of the treatment. Them promptly have him rechecked.

Sanitizing the whole house isn't necessary.
Take the cat to the vet to have an exam, and take along a sample of poop. They'll find what type of worms it is and give you the correct de-wormer. It's possible he picked it up from the puppy OR he caught a mouse or bird and ate it, getting the parasites that way.
It's treatable, very easy to get rid of, and isn't much of a problem really.

Cats that have worms need to be dewormed at least twice, two weeks apart, depending on the product you or your vet uses. Talk to your vet to be certain you are using the right dewormer for the worm you saw. Treat the cat and then again at least once more. Its very safe to do so.The puppy should be dewormed, too. Deworm all of your pets at least once a year, more often if you have a lot of pets or if they go outside.

Sounds like he may have round worm. Did you get the meds from a vets office? Over the counter remedies do not work. for the worms to show like this, he has had them for quite awhile Contact the vet and have him tested to ascertain what kind of worms he has. May have more than one kind.
