bad situation!

not long moved to london am struggling to live, make payments, etc.

i need to pay off council tax, i havent been able to make any payments and they've now passed it 2 bailiffs

spoken to them x2 and they are adamant that its with them now, i said if i pay some money now, will you call them off.

they said no, should i speak to a manage??? she refused to give me a managers name when i asked though!!

i really dont want to deal with the bailiffs, i want to just pay the council direct, the council said i can pay them but have to deal with bailiffs i don't get it?

can i ignore bailiffs???? as i live along and am scared!!!

can i just make payments to council when i can and try to clear it asap????

but will the bailiffs keep adding charges if i dont answer the door and speak to them????

plz advise thanx

been there done that, just answer the door and talk to the bailiffs most are human and will accept monthly regular payments,it has nothing to do with the council now.
