Caffeine has several negative effects on the body. The one that probably pertains to you the most is that it inhibits the absorption of calcium. It will even draw some of the calcium directly from the bone. This can eventually lead to rheumatoid arthritis and increase the chances of osteoporosis and bone fractures Calcium is very important for bone health and bone growth. At your age, your bones should be actively growing and you will need all the calcium you can get.

your mother is right, there's many negative health problems by drinking coffee. Wait until you are much older, if ever. I don't recommend anybody use coffee.
