Because Christians are the most judgmental people I have ever encountered. They preach and if you do not conform they damn you to hell, they are brainwashed into believing things that are not remotely true....like that God is Jealous and those who sin go to hell....when we all sin therefor we would all go to hell. They believe only their church members will go to Heaven when Jesus walked this Earth he was a Jew so he went to Temple. They drop gospels out of the bible to suit their need to control their members. They use the bible to commit horrible crimes against society. Many beat and rape their wives in the name of God due to a woman should be submissive to her husband.....the 10 commandments were written by man....if i steal to feed my child i will go to hell for sinning, but if my husband rapes me he is saintly, something about that doesn't sit well with me.
the bible is just an excuse to use because they don't have a mind of their own and need someone to tell them how to live and some would kill and murder in the name of God....to me that is just crazy. Christians humanize God and that is a huge problem when He is All Merciful, All forgiving, and All loving...and All Perfect...these are not human characteristics yet they give God a bad name by calling Him jealous&wrathful.

Interesting... condemning a know-it-all attitude and then displaying one. Why be so aggressive against aggressive Christians?
I freely admit I don't know it all, but I do know a lot. More than some in some areas, less than others in other areas.

Nor can anyone be your personal savior.
The Bible has one set of meanings and no, it can't be spun or interpreted in many different ways as you believe.
Convenient? It has nothing to do with convenience my friend.
By the way, if I "knew it all", I wouldn't need God.

I don't recall offering to be your savior. Go be on your personal journey. It sounds like the Gospel has been presented to you, and you've decided against it. You might want to try decaffeinated drinks, though.

you dont have to ask a christian for them to preach to you, they just do out of the kindness and goodness of their hearts, because your a sinner, and they want to save you from eternal damnation! They are doing you a favor here, they are trying to save you, dont you want to be saved and be freed from this life of physical restraints, and be able to live a life where you can blame god for anything and everything? Where you can free someone from the burden and torment of their physical life in the name of jesus christ, or pass descriminatory laws in the name of god? Where you can end any conversation in the world with the mention of his holiness? Come one, why would you not want to enter into that cultish life? It sounds absolutely sinful!

I agree with your rant.
There are two things that puzzle me though.
1. What did you expect from a Religion and Spirituality question forum?
2. If our personal experience is not a valid way of knowing something then what pray tell is?

You are right there are a lot of people out there who are agressive. Not just christian but every category of faith and walk.
It seems to me though you are more bothered by the fact that they will not change thier minds to your way of thinking.
It is ok to agree to disagree

Christians as a whole are life-loving, stable minded, compassionate people who are supposed to be non-judgemental and live by example, not aggressive and constant preaching! I'm truly sorry that you've come in contact with such a distasteful human being who calls themselves Christian!
Keep this one thing in mind, though - to know Him is to love Him!

aggressive? not persuasive?
if any wants you to give the reason why you don't wanna follow them, never give any. your excuse will only serve to be their strong arguing points whenever they reach out to another person who also does not want to follow them. they like to plant doubt into everyone.
just say no.
"you believe in your favourite sports team, then they'll get massacred. you believe in gravity they it'll turn you upside down on you. you love your favourite TV show then the network ends it with a lousy finale. But you can believe in me and if you believe in something then support it. It's something to love something but if you don't shower it with money then just don't talk to me."
