What I mean by close is that we can talk about anything together, and we've seen each other naked before. We've seen each other's penises before and we're not ashamed being naked in front of each other. Like one time my dad was getting dressed in the bathroom and I had to take a shower so I just came in, stripped, and entered the shower while he changed. And if I have a question about my body I go to him instead of here sometimes. We never "touch" each other or do anything sexual, but does anything think we're too close?

NOT AT ALL!!! YOU AND YOUR FATHER SHARE THE RELATIONSHIP EVERY FATHER AND SON SHOULD HAVE! You father was put on this earth to help you. [specially if you're a boy] then father's were put here to tell answer your questions, give you advice, and help you be comfortable in your own skin and being yourself. Your dad is being the best father he can be and you are being the best son you can be by opening up this open relationship with your father. definently trust your father more than the people on yahoo.

No, but you seem to. Something has made you uncomfortable. Is it that no one else seems to do that, or says they do? Every household is different. I once had a friend who's parents were nudists and his dad answered the door stark naked as that's what they did in their home.
Don't let other people dictate what you do, and you should be asking questions about your body with your father, not on Yahoo Answers.
I think you need to talk to him about this question and see what he says. You can always change things if you want.

I think that is the way it should be. I can't talk to my dad about anything. I am to ashamed. I must go to a friend or doctor. I was taught to be ashamed and not let people see my penis. I was taught that when someone is in the bathroom, never, ever go in there until they come out first. And to always lock the door when I go in there. I think what you and your dad have is a wonderful and healthy relationship. I wish I did with my dad.

No I do not think so its just the same as a mother and daughter relationship! You are both guys and are comfy around each other its good to have some one like that it just depends on your family and things i am in my early 20 and recently moved home and well if my shirt is in the dryer or i need my bra straps tightened i will go as my mom or dad i'm not ashamed to walk around in my underwear!

If you are a teenage or younger, I guess it's ok. You have a good relationship with your dad. But you can wait next time until he finishes using the bathroom. It depends on people. I don't want to show my body to anyone..well I am a girl. I guess it is less emabarassing when it's btwn guys. It's ok to ask him questions about your body cuz I do ask my mom to. But I am not sure about seeing each other naked lol. It's nothing serious though.

You are comfortable with your body and with the relationship you have with your dad.
If you are uncomfortable with anything then you need to stop it.
I change clothes in front of my parents and female friends. I am not shy at all. Nothing wrong with it.

Absolutely nothing. You shower in Gym class, the YMCA, and other public and private places. So why should you be any different with your father.
