My father unfortunately passed away a few weeks ago, aged 52 of a heart defect that should have been detected and in an effort to do everything we can do stop this happening again we are trying to raise as much money as possible.
The money will be going to our local church where my Dad had his funeral as they are in much need for restoration and maintenance help.
I would be so grateful if anyonecould donate something for our night. We are holding a raffle/auction and are looking for prizes.

How does raising money for a church help people with heart defects get diagnosed? Sorry to hear of your loss but I would rather donate to a hospital than a church as they have a chance of doing something worthwhile with the money.

Restoring a Church won't stop it happening again though. If you do decide to raise money for the church, that's something you should do on a local level.
