This question is for Muslims. I don't know how universal the belief is, but it seems to be a fairly common belief among Muslims that Islam will one day rule over all of the world, all governments will be Islamic, and all people will submit to rule under a caliphate.
Do you believe that Islam will one day rule over the world?
Do you believe that anything that moves toward that end is a good thing?
And can you see how those of us who believe that secular government is vital would not be too pleased with that view?

Dear
Islam means Submission and Peace.
All the Holy Prophets right from Adam, including Noah, Abraham, Moses, Jesus, Muhammad peace be on all of them were the Prophets to the Same God.
So if you believe they are all from the same God then their Religion has to be the Same Too as a Logic.
Then the God's Religion is Islam. Every Prophet's Religion was Islam.
Hence It is Mandatory for Muslims to Believe in all the Holy Prophets peace be on all of them and Respect Them.
So The religion of Moses was Islam, Religion of Jesus was Islam and the Religion of Muhammad is Islam too.
So My Dear Islam is Ruling The world Since Adam and it is on Going.
The problem lies with in Us that We did not Understand and We are not following God and His Guidelines.
Secularism is man made Law and India is the Largest Secular Country but still the majority religion rules.

First of all, Muslims do no wish or celebrate the world heading towards the end of times. The Prophet PBUH, himself, seeked refuge in God from that time and instructed his followers to do the same.
Secondly, we are also instructed to never wish for a war but if one is trusted upon us then we must fight bravely.
Thirdly, Yes there are prophecies of the end of times. There will be battles, great ignorance, the truth will be dressed with falsehood(by propaganda) and the falsehood will be dressed by truth. There will be great killing, and death and the killer will not know exactly why he killed and the killed would not know his crime. There would be great earth quakes, and natural disasters. E.t.c. And yes at the end there will be a Kingdom established by JESUS (Peace be upon him) after killing the anti-Christ. In which for a time being people will be following the true commandments. But then after Jesus's PBUH death people with again fall into error(with the passage of time) and once there is too much corruption the final destruction will come.
Fourthly, People in that time would actually love to be under the rule of Jesus PBUH.
Fifthly, the Islam already rules the world. Islam means submission. And everything in this universe is submitting to God's will.

yes, i think Islam will rule, according to my understanding. But this is supposed to happen towards the end of times, so it will be a period completely different from what we know now. And like Abdullah said, people will welcome it, due to the turmoil that will exist before it. Islam is a just religion, don't be fooled by the people who misuse it and the propaganda against it. Remember people used to believe that the earth was the center of the universe and the church almost executed Galileo for saying otherwise. Islam is a pure monotheistic religion and time (God ) will prove that to be true.

If your a true believer in the religion you follow then you believe it to be the truth and will one day prevail and be the only religion standing.
I believe what Islam teaches that after Jesus(peace be upon him) comes back kills the dijaal, then he will rule with the laws of Islam and there will be peace to were the lamb will lay with the lion.

I don't bow to the Christan's now so there is no way I would bow to a muslim. they only way they have a chance of taking over the world is with violence and if they think that the world will just sit back and let it happen they need to give up now...

Allah says (interpretation of the meannings):
“Allaah has promised those among you who believe and do righteous good deeds, that He will certainly grant them succession to (the present rulers) in the land, as He granted it to those before them, and that He will grant them the authority to practise their religion which He has chosen for them (i.e. Islam). And He will surely, give them in exchange a safe security after their fear (provided) they (believers) worship Me and do not associate anything (in worship) with Me”
[al-Noor 24:55].

I would say NO, thats just not the way. and thats not the way islam thinking either, at the end of the day, the one rule the world is just the way it is till it end.

when the threat happens 200,000 million chinese will march into the middle east and the battle of armagaden will begin. the muslims can't even control themselves how are going to rule the world. in the old testament king cyrus of persia (iran) invaded babylon(iraq) and the babylonians were glad to see him. they have been fighting over there for thousands of years. they are not going to stop until god puts an end to it.
