Don't worry about the clothes, unless the language or characters are gross or lewd. The kids at school will help curb him if they are inappropriate clothes (yes, peer pressure can work positively for parents sometimes!).
You do have to talk to him about being a poser, and soliciting unnecessary attention. Tell him the old fable about the boy crying wolf - I think it's Aesop. Just try impress upon him that it's necessary to be genuine, not to fake stuff for attention.
Good luck. I have a 15 year old, just starting gr.11 --- and has his learners'!!!

He's a teen ager. He's also growing up. Make HIM responsible for his 'academy award roles' and stop trying to take responsiblity for them.
As for the driving, take a look at Hulk Hogan's teen age son. Gets a license to be a race car driver and ends up speeding on the STREET and nearly killing his friend~!
As a parent you OWE it to the rest of the world to make sure your son can handle the responsibility of driving. If you doubt it, tell him no. Remember driving is a PRIVILEGE NOT A RIGHT!

Its ok, it might take another year.
I have 3 boys, age, 8,11 and 14. My 11 year old is only 4'6 about 70 lbs and my 14 year osl id only 4'`` about 85 lbs.
My oldest still acts like a little child, and is still innocent. He only has the body of a small 10 year old.
Just give it time and enjoy it while it lasts.

why is your 16 yo son immature? hes a man thats why..
seriously he probably will just grow out of it very soon a lot of people still watch those japenese cartoons, the actions on the football field will soon be discussed by his friend s with him, and hell likely quit it out of embarrasement. driving is another story only you will be able to determine as you begin teaching im to drive, perhaps his immaturity will actually be agood thing as opposed to most young male drivers who have a serious case of overconfidence.

Oh girl, I feel your pain! I have a 16-year-old son too who is in 11th grade this year. Sometimes he is SO immature. He will make loud irritating noises in my face, try to wrestle me to the ground, chase the cat all around the house, make those underarm "farting" noises and burp like there's no tomorrow! Oh, and "Spongebob" is his favorite show! I'm sure they will grow out of this stage....their brains aren't totally developed yet. But you're not alone!!

Did you know the average age of video gamer is 33 ? And many adults love Japanese anime. Football is a no-brainer sport. Don't be so hard on the kid. Give him time.

Would you rather him watch porn, drink beer, or take drugs? because the average of users start when they're younger. Your just expecting to much from him. Before you know it he'll think hes a failure and stop trying. Leave him alone and hell grow up.

hey mom - Is your son a drug addict? Does he go out with his friends to abuse drugs and alcohol? Have unprotected sex?
If the worst you have to complain about is the subject matter he watches on TV then count your lucky stars.

As a mom, you have to GROW HIM UP, you have to raise him to be a man and, He's gonna do stupid crap but as long as he learns from it, then its no problem......... He'll grow (hopefully) out of all that other stuff....... And if you think he's not ready to drive then dont give him the keys..... You'll be sorry you did if he goes out and kills himself or someone eleses kid too.
