not sure if they kill dust mites, but dust mites don't bite. people are allergic to dead dust mite particles and dust mite feces when inhalled. Also, if there were dust mites in the dryer, running the dryer should have killed them. I am severly allergic to dust mites and all bedding should be washed in hot water and dryed in the dryer.

Ricky, spraying anything like that in the dryer is dangerous. Residue could ignite next time dryer is used. Dust mites do not bite. Their feces and carapace contain a protein that when inhaled causes the production of IGe by the human immune system (this is what you and I call allergy). As for what bit you, it could be fleas, gnats, or even these tiny little buggers we call no-see-ums around here. If you want to get rid of the mites in the wash, try De-Mite. I have been using it for years and it is marvelous. The bottle will tell you to use more than you need, so if you try it. go easy with it. This is a great spot for it

Instead of washing in 140 degree water, I use the De-Mite and cold water. Gets rid of the mites and is much easier on my sheets.

I'm not really a fan of sprays like that, if you're referring to the aerosol: After all, there would be no way for me to avoid breathing them myself.
However, there are small mite or midge like bugs that do bite, and it could be that you wandered near a nest of them somehow.
You might want to go back with a cloth and a bucket of a strong Lysol solution, and clean around your dryer. And check the pipe leading to the dryer vent, in case it's not as well sealed as it should be. And make sure you don't have any standing water around your place.
Good luck!

Well dust mites do not cause mosquito like bites, you actually can't visually see a dust mite bite. I can't think of what else it could be in your dryer filter, maybe fleas? They cause bites you can see that are somewhat similar to a mosquito bite and could easily end up in your dryer lint.

No, Lysol does not kill dust mites.
Most people are actually allergic to the proteins in the mites' waste rather than the mites themselves. You can buy cleaning and laundry products that kill them and dissolve their associated proteins from a place like National Allergy Supply, found here: http://www.natlallergy.com/default.asp?eid=GOOGLE&tid=g_allergy_supply&gclid=CMCwk7WCm44CFQINPAodV0u0ZQ&bhcd2=1188400891 I use this product and it works great: http://www.natlallergy.com/prod/1653/anti-allergen-solution-liquid-laundry-detergent-by-the-ecology-works.html You may also want to avoid using dryer sheets, in case you are allergic to them, too.
Contact with mites can cause a rash if you are sensitized to them.
