Dale Earnhardt Jr.’s step mom took his fathers company from him and is now taking his personal number the “8”. She tried to extort money for the number and now is keeping it for vengeance. Check the facts.

The "Free the 8" was promoted and started? by Ricky Rackmond (sp?). This was backed by the fans. Did Jr. ever say he wanted the 8?
Who wants Jr to have the 8? His fans! Are his fans paying his full salary? (Merchandise not included). Do the fans make sure he has a good car and i competitive each week?
Do you really think a Online petition is going to convince DEI they must release the 8? They will look at it and laugh. 6000 isn't even a drop in the catch can compared to the number of fans of Nascar.
Give it up and let HMS decide what # Jr will drive.

First off his mom did not take the company. She was married to Sr. everyone knows it is 50/50 in marriage unless legally documented. Which it was not.
Sr. loved Teresa and everyone knew it. I think Sr. would be disappointed in Jr. for expecting to get the company that he has not earned.
Nascar is a business, money is part of business. Tell me what you would do. You own the #8 and someone wants it. I am sure you would just give it away huh? Right.
Move on Earnhardt fans. Move on

Your "facts" are wrong. Teresa didn't "take" DEI from Dale, it was left to her 100% in Sr.'s will. And she was already 50% owner as well as the business brains behind the company. It was Teresa's idea to satrt selling die-cast cars and copywriting Dale's famous signature. She helped a lot in building up The Legend. Next time you look at a die-cast #3 car, just remember if not for Teresa it wouldn't be here.

Who cares what the number is on the side? If you are an Jr. fan, you'll root for him no matter what, and if not, you'll root against him. His chances of winning/losing are not affected by the number either.
Are we as a nation so superstitious that we really need to spend time on something so meaningless?
Get a life folks - DEJ will be the same driver no matter what the number.
