My mother in law has this disgustingly filthy 10-year old Graco stroller. She insists that she is going to use it for my 15-month old daughter. In my opinion, anything that old can't be safe anymore and even though my mother in law thinks she is going to spot clean, I don't think that is a sanitary way to clean it either. Am I wrong? Anyone with a Monster In law knows that no matter what I say it isn't going to matter. And I have a perfectly clean, safe new stroller for my daughter that she loves to ride in... so why does she even need to get out that old, disgusting stroller. Also, maybe if there were any recalls on Graco strollers manufactured 10-12 years, I could use that as ammo. Of course there is no model number or manufactured date on the stroller, that's how old it is. Thanks!

Whats the big deal? are you just embarrassed someone might see your child in an old stroller?

I think you are over reacting. As long as it rolls, and has a safety belt, there is nothing wrong with it.

tell her you have a perfectly good stroller that your daughter loves. And anything that old does have a chance of falling apart, it could stick her in her legs, it's too big a risk.

tell her NO, you are mom, you are not comfortable allowing your daughter to ride in such an old stroller, it may seem overprotecting but i am mom and please respect my decision, PERIOD

Just tell her point blank she cannot use it, or borrow it one day and 'accidentally' lose it.
