And the little bugs were spreading to other apartments. The exterminator was spraying one apartment at a time with a week in-between.
There are people who could have a violent reaction--very few, but there are--and they could go into anaphylactic shock and possible die from a reaction. (There are a lot of handicapped and elderly people where I live).

I would contact your health department. If all they are doing is spraying, they are just going to poison the people and not the bugs. Every bed needs to be broken down and thoroughly cleaned with particular attention to the areas where the rails go into the headboard and footboards.
The baseboards also need to be cleaned and treated. Sounds like the manager thought they were doing the right thing by hiring an exterminator, they just didn't hire someone that knew the proper protocol for bedbugs. Good luck

That is shoddy! All the bugs would have to do is shuttle from one apartment to the next.

Now, bed bugs are very difficult to eradicate, without replacing the beds altogether and scrubbing the apartments thoroughly.

If the apartment manager knows what's going on but doesn't care, by all means talk to the local housing authority.

leave your apartment right away and report them to the Public Health Department or just to the city. they will take the next necessary steps to getting everything in order.
