I amn't sure what other religions say about that but Islam says that Adam was created from 4 types of soil (clay): white, black, red and yellow. You can try yo imagine what was his skin colour then...
Thus Adam had characteristics of all existent races, so he was not white nor black nor Asian nor native American, he didn't belong to any other race except human.

Actually, Adam, means Red, so maybe he was a Native American, or it could be he was Irish. God doesn't tell us what he looked like.
