That is because what the LDS church teaches is exactly what christ taught on the earth and is the restored church. It teaches the exact things christ taught. There is actually much evedence about some of the teachings that the LDS church was around in the primitive and origional church of Christ. Such things as the temple and baptism for the dead and much others. There are many records of our practices existing before the church was restored. These practices were forgotten or corrupted as time wore on. Did you know that during the time that Chist was on the earth that people beleved that God had a body and was made of matter. The whole idea that god was a spirit or whatever came far afterwards. If you do your research of Ancent Texts, even outside the bible (There was alot taken out of the bible by people who plain and simply didn't want them there) you will see that the LDS religion has restored many things that were practiced in the primitive church.

The website is a good place to look, if it's full of truth, but a bad place to look if it's not true. That leaves us at a stalemate.
Mormons believe that all good Mormons will become Gods, with their own planet to populate. That sounds like pantheism to me.

We are all in various stages of becoming Christ-like. While I am Mormon and claim the label Christian to describe me and my religion, a small number of people disagree with this.
A Christ-like attitude would be to let me define myself and discuss doctrine in a calm and Love-filled manor. (throwing labels at people is not loving)
MANY who disagree with LDS doctrine act in a more recognizable Christ-like manor than MANY on this website.
SO... to get to a point (maybe)
I have a great deal of respect for people who label themselves as Christian by their actions than people who merely label themselves Christian with the name "Christian."

What amazes me is that when someone is saying someone elses religion is bad they use the fowelest language possible.
does that help or hurt their cause? I mean who would want to believe anything a person says that uses that kind of language. It shows when a person uses that language he is very uneducated and lower class.
An educated person would know the proper adjectives to descripe why he feels that religion is false.
All he said was I an uneducated and lower class.

i really don't see the difference between Mormonism and Christianity. Both were off shoots of a religion.
Mormonism is alot closer to Christianity, than Christianity was to Judaism.

Well JD, it's... quasi-Christian, I'll grant you. There are some fundamental differences between LDS theology and orthodox Christian theology (mostly "add-ons" that came from Joseph Smith and the later LDS prophets).
But I don't want to bore the R&S world with a great big long post... I would NEVER do such a thing...lol

It reads like a poor rewrite of the ten commandments.....just a bit of fake frosting to fool the biblically uneducated...
So they claim to be the church of Jesus Christ of latter day saints....their theology is not Biblically based, it is manufactured by a con-man...
They have all kinds of strange ideas that have nothing to do with the Bible or God....
and their claim of being in America years and years and years ago....buffalo chips....
the nations( American Indian population) have an oral history that goes back farther than the Mormons can fabricate...
the nations would have noticed these strange people!!! the nations would have seen this guy and his gold tablets!!! the forest belonged to them and he took something out of their forest.....
none of that occurred in the early America's but Joesph smith did not "know" anything about the native population when he made up that false teaching....
we are told to beware of false prophets......

The big difference in the Mormon faith is they believe Jesus walked and preached in North America. They also are founded by a man who claimed to be a prophet visited by an Angel named Moroni, who showed him secret golden tablets. He interpreted these and founded/wrote the book of Mormon. There is no proof of this visit to the America's to teach the indeginous people, where as there is thousands of documents, artifacts, and such that prove Jesus Christ walked the Earth, performed miracles, preached to the multitudes, and was crucified for our sin.

lol . . .
you see , firstly we have to agreed that christianity is the largest religion .
then .. inside christianity , there are doctrines that claim that the other doctrine is of non - christian .
by doing so , they to start 'war' among themselves. be it verbal wars or those riots in some countries.
it's like you calling me fake , i get pissed and i punch you , and then you punch me back and it kept going on . when all this can stop by minding-your-own business. i mean there's no need to go around telling people ' they're fake ' and start disharmony among themselves.
i am sure we can all agree that no riots , no disharmony would start IF they just stick to their own belief and stop poking fun or insulting other doctrines , be it website or blogs.
i am pretty sure that only jesus / god will know which is the real doctrines , not them .
and you know whats the best part ? they blame it on satan when it is themselves calling names on other doctrines.
