My dad had it done because his eyelids were hanging over his eyes and his eyelashes were turning in causing severe irritation. He was in his 60's and it helped his vision tremendously. I would say if it makes you more comfortable go for it. It doesn't take that long to heal if the person doing it is a skilled professional.

yes.I have had it done...an upper eye lift.
It is very easy to recover from( total surgery time was an hour and i went straight home afterwards)... took about 4 days off from work. If you wear contacts you will probably have to wear glasses for a while as your eyes may get dry and teary. You will have bruising which dissipates in about 4-5 days, Sutures come out about day 5. Getsome cold compresses and keep them handy because it helps with swelling which peaks at about 72 hours post surgery. Also i recommend bioflavanoids instead of arnica for bruising as this relly will take the bruising down ... tak ethem a few weeks before and during and after surgery. You probably will not need much pain meds but I did take darvocet n-100 the first few days. Your eyes may look big or wide for a few weeks but they will eventually close more.. also buy some eye drops like refresh Pm for evening because at firstwhen you sleep your eyes do not close well and it is important to keep the eye and cornea well lubricated so air does not pass over it. I also used some less oily drops in the day that came from pharmacy but ithas been a while since mybleph and i forgot the name of them. They come in ampoules for single use and start with a "C" .... you will know whatI am talking about when you go to the pharmacy to find them ...ask the pharmacist... a bleph for upper eyes can run about 3k more or less depending on doc and plan on a bit more recovery for a lower bleph (which I did not have) lower bleph is a bit more recovery and you do need to wearsome steri strips as the eye may tend to want to pull down. Good luck and I hope this info helped!

cost for upper and lower usually runs about 4-5 thousand dollars... you can use a certified anesthetist ( about $250 an hour opposing a anesthesiologistwho would run 300-400 more and yuo don't need an anesthesiologist for a bleph)andhave it done at a doctors osha accredited operating room in his office vs a hosiptal which would be outrageously priced...perhaps all in all maybe 5-6 thousand total give or take the docs fees

I had it and I recommend it if you're not comfortable with bags under your eyes. I had both upper & lower lids done. It was very expensive and was relatively painless. Good luck. 2D
