Generally, two tablespoons...it really depends on a few factors:
1. What kind of coffeemaker do you have?
2. How finely is the coffee ground?
3. What kind of filters do you use (nylon? paper?metal?)
4. How strong do you like your coffee?
5. Did you grind the coffee just now, or was it already ground when it was packaged. How old is the coffee?

for me the amount I would put in to make 2 cups is about 2 cups of coffee grounds (but that is because I am addicted to caffeine) but if u want good strong coffee it is about 2-3 tablespoons of grounds to make 2 cups of coffee.

you put one more scoop than the amount of cups. therefore, two cups would be three scoops of coffee
