is there a problem with being friends with your ex? any things that should be avoided? he is adopted does that play a role in being friends with him? someone please help....

Your ex should not come up in any conversation with him or anyone in the future. Sometimes talking about your ex could be hurtful. Just talk about you two and what the possibalities of your two future or what nots. But never talk about the past just what's going on now unless he wants to tell you about him. But if you have questions about his past try to make him talk about it first.

No there's no problem with it, it's just tough to do. Once you've had an intimate relationship with someone going back to friends is easier said than done, but many people are still able to do it. Avoid sleeping with him, or overly affectionate displays, the usual bf/gf stuff. I don't see how his being adopted would play a role in being friends with him, it didn't play a role in dating him did it? It might be hard if one of you gets another bf/gf, but if your friendship is strong enough with him, you can survive it. Good luck!

There is nothing wrong being friends with your ex, most people does like me for example. I still talk to him on the phone also the computer and i even meet up with him once in awhile. :) Well if you still have feelings for him and you don't want to have those feeings try not to be close to him, he might want to kiss you. Hug is fine. And about him being adopted that's nothing to do with anything, that's only his background it's nothing to do with you. I hoped this helped Good Luck! lil miss vixion :)

You can't be friends with an ex if you want to be in a new relationship in the future... it just doesn't work. It's hard to let go of someone you were once so close with, but in reality, it's not an appropriate relationship. What's the point of hanging on?

as long as it's just a normal friendship i say no, especially if you have kids together and can be friends that is great for both of you and the children,, not sure what exactly your situation is,, but if you cant be friends without being intimate then i would say stay away,, unless that's what you want.
