That I think is the biggest contradiction in the bible, that God is not the author of confusion. If the bible is the word of God, then he most certainly is !

Actually if you take the time to study it and not with your religon in mind to make the bible fit what the church says you believe. Using an open mind and say, now how does that fit with the other scriptures on that subject.
Start out by reading it through a few times. Just read one or two chapters a night. Most of us can do that in a few minutes.
Then think about what he is saying?
I think Isaiah is a good example of that, Isaiah 33:17 Is a prophecy of the messiahs return. What he will look like.
Jesus being perfect must have been very handsome.
Seeing a land far away means future.
verse 19 Shows that during that time everyone will speak the same language again.
correspond the next verse with Isa 34:17 each one will be given an inheritance.
Isa 33:20 a tent witch on one will pack up. It was horrible for them to have to keep moving and not have a staple place to live. This was a promise they will not have to do that forever.
Water will be in abundance, canals or rivers. Not just shipping lanes but irrigation canals.
Isaiah 33:23 your ropes will hang loose? anyone who has ever ran a ship knows that while it is going your fighting those sails constantly. When you get where you want to be and lower the sails. It is a quiet pleasant time.
also it mentions plenty of spoil so this wicked world the wicked people will be gone and plenty of stuff left over for the survivors.
Isaiah 33:24 no resident will say I am sick.
Do we see that today? anywhere? No this was a future prophecy. All of Isaiah 33 and 34 is a future prophecy of a better time. Worth the reading.
Isaiah 34:5 At that time the eyes of the blind ones will be opened. the deaf will hear and the lame will jump. The speachless one will cry out in gladness.
Do we see any of those things today? so we know that is a future prophecy. the bible can be very interesting.
If you think about what your reading.

"For God is not the author of confusion but of peace, as in all the churches of the saints." (1 Cor. 14:33)
"For where envy and self-seeking exist, confusion and every evil thing are there." (James 3:16)
Where has there been envy and self-seeking? That is where you will find confusion and disagreement. If the body of Christ really wanted to be like Him, we would approach the Word with reverence and humility...not the pride and haughtiness that has been seen so far.
I believe, with the help of the Holy Spirit, we will get this thing turned around...We as a church will embrace humility and desire holiness more than winning an argument. That, in turn, will bring about unity...no more division, you will either be for Him or against Him. I don't want to wait to make my decision...even if that means I loose a couple of discussions in the process, I want holiness and the only way that will come is if I embrace humility...just like Jesus did.
Sinful man is so prideful; we don't like being wrong...so when a topic is presented that doesn't make sense to us, we would rather fight for our viewpoint (which is most likely wrong anyway) than die to ourselves, embrace humility and search out the answer together.
God is not ambiguous in His communications with us, we are ambiguous with our communications to Him! Humble yourself and accept the fact that your three pound brain cannot comprehend the riches of God's majesty! We will be intrigued with Him forever, what makes you think that you should be able to understand everything right now?

Hardly! Nothing in God's instructions for us is ambiguous. He not only made his instructions clear, he repeated them multiple times to make sure we understood them.
Why then is there so much disagreement about proper interpretation? Perhaps because people don't want to take the time to read and understand his instructions. It is no different that any other complex piece of machinery.
How many people reading this have actually read the instruction manual for the computer they're using cover to cover even one time? That's just not human nature...human nature is to rely on our own understanding and to consult the owner's manual only when we have a problem. ...and even then, we have a tendency to use the index to jump straight to the information we think we need for the immediate problem and ignore all the rest of the instructions.
The problem with too many religions is that they teach people to seek the will of God by listening to the words of another person. This practice caters to people who are too physically or intelectually lazy to find the answers themselves. Instead of studying God's word, they rely on their religion's version of a customer service center to provide solutions to their immediate problem.
You'd think people would know better. In my experience, the people that man the phones at the service center for my computer (or for some piece of software my computer uses) only rarely provide complete and accurate advice...in fact, they are all too often completely wrong about the nature of problem or the details of the solution...and even if the do understand both, they don't always communicate them in a way the caller can understand!

"But when He, the Spirit of Truth, has come, He will teach you all the truth. For He will not speak on His own authority, but whatever He will hear he will speak, and the things that are to come He will declare to you." John 16:13
Most non-Catholic sects declare that the Holy Spirit is 'teaching' them the truth. However, there can be only one truth. Since the advent of Sola Scriptura and individual interpretation of Scripture, how can the Holy Spirit be in each of the thousands of sects, teaching all of them opposing viewpoints? It is to be noted that all of the following denominations teach from the same Bible, so why the differences in teaching?
1. How can the Holy Spirit tell the Lutherans the Eucharist is the true presence of Christ, and then tell the Baptists it is only a symbol?
2. How can the Holy Spirit tell the Methodists it is alright to have female ministers, and then tell the Baptists it is unbiblical?
3. How can the Holy Spirit tell the Seventh Day Adventists that Saturday is the day of worship, and then tell the Presbyterians the day of worship is Sunday and not Saturday?
4. How can the Holy Spirit tell the Lutherans that the Blessed Virgin Mary was and remains always virgin, and then tell the Baptists she had other children?
5. How can the Holy Spirit tell the Baptists, 'once saved always saved', and then tell the Church of Christ that Sola Fides is unscriptural
6. How can the Holy Spirit tell Episcopalians to baptize infants and then tell Pentecostals infant baptism is invalid?
7. How can the Holy Spirit tell Mormons that the Holy Trinity is three separate persons, and then tell Methodists the Trinity is three persons in one GOD?
I could go on and on with the differences between non-Catholic sects, but I think you get the point. It takes only a minimum of common sense to realize that the Holy Spirit could not be speaking to each and everyone of those thousands of non-Catholic sects in the opposing ways of which I have sampled here. However, I was recently reminded that common sense is not so common anymore. It is easy to see that the 'fruits of Sola Scriptura' are not from GOD. There is no 'one fold and one shepherd' in Protestantism. Opposing teachings in these denominations is rampant, all caused by the false doctrine of Sola Scriptura and its accompanying 'individual interpretation' of Holy Scripture. Which, if any, of these sects is being taught all of the truth, as promised by Jesus Christ in John 16:13?
"And we are witnesses of these things, and so is the Holy Spirit, whom GOD has given to all who obey Him." Acts 5:32
Okay, GOD Himself has thrown down the gauntlet...TO ALL WHO OBEY HIM.
So who obeys the will of GOD? Is it the Lutherans who say the Holy Eucharist is the 'True Presence' of Jesus Christ incarnate, or is it the Baptists who say, 'It is only a symbol'?
Is it those who say we have to worship on Saturday or is it those who say worship on Sunday?
Is it those who say baptize infants or those who say not to?

lol ... yes ? well ... some believe after you die , you can still repent , some believe if you die without accepting jesus you go to hell . some believe all will eventually unite with god while some believe that non-christian also be salvage .
so ... i heard from some christians dude that it's satan that causes the confusion ? i don't whether to laugh or agree with them.. i cant see how satan could have confuse people by having them interpreting in different way ..
considering christians claimed god word's to be divine , and if it is so , people wouldnt get confused if it is of the original text.. so the only way is that satan wrote certain part ? lol ? i guess i will get nuked by thumb down

God didn't write the Bible. Imagine if a bunch of Christians nowadays sat around and tried to write a new handbook. Let's say they each got to write a chapter without reading what the others wrote and then they put it all into a big book together. What a mess of contradiction that would be.

I guess he must be.
If God exists, then he clearly doesn't care if humans mis interpret his will. There are thousands of denominations all claiming to have divine understanding, who contradict one another on almost every doctrine in the bible, yet God doesn't clear it up?
One of my favorites is the doctrine of salvation. Are Christians saved by grace alone or by works and faith combined.
The Bible doesn't really make that clear, in some verses it states that it is only by god's grace, in others it says that faith without works is dead. So different denominations have very different understandings of how to get to heaven. One of them has to be wrong, and as a result hundreds of thousands of devout Christians will be deceived by their denominational beliefs and will end up in hell?
Yet God doesn't clear it up?
Its really a bit crazy if you stop to think about it.

The ambiguity of god's communication is reason enough to question the validity of his existence... I really wonder what keeps some people from doing at least that one little thing.
