Are £17,000 yearly enough for a family of 3 to, to live a dicent life ?

in a £500 monthly rented house in chesire or manchester ?And are £17,000 a good wage for a sous chef ? And if not how much whould be a fair realistic wage?

I don't know about Manchester, or how much a Chef should earn.

But £17,000 is not a lot of money. My parents together earn over double that and still we don't have that much spare money.

Though i do live in the Southwest where it's more expensive...
