People who have preconceevied ideas will still say no that is what is going to happen. I wonder if I am talking to a wall.
Psalms 37:29 The righteous shall inherit the land and dwell there in forever.
Matthew 5:5 The meek shall inherit the earth.
2 Peter 3:5 speaking of the earth there says see it will burn up.
It also says the earth perished during the days of Noah.
Meaning: the wicked people. Looking for a new heavens and a new earth means a new rulership, will come out of this destruction. Therefore a new earth. Nothing wrong with this earth it is the wicked people that needs to go.
Don't you think it is Satan that wants us to believe this earth is going to be destroyed? If he can't rule he doesn't even want it here. He accuses God saying it wasn't my fault it was the way you made them. they are not capable of being obedient.
So who's right?

Do you believe that if Satan hadn't lied to eve in the first place we would have the problems we have today?
That was the original sin, calling God a liar by saying: "you won't really die at all"

God's original purpose for the earth was to have a perfect family of humans live on the earth forever. God has never changed his purpose and he intends to rid his house of the vermin that infest it. If your house has mice or rats do you burn it down to get rid of them? No, you put out poison or traps and kill them. Then you can live in your house free of worries. The earth is God's house, the vermin are the wicked people. Just as in Noah's day, God will destroy only the wicked and let the righteous ones live. I, for one, look forward to that day!

Well, God is always right. No question about that at all. Satan will be destroyed so he'll say anything to get as many people to follow him and he's done a very good job of it. There are those few that will always follow Jehovah God's Ways of living.
Yes, there will be a new Heavens and a new Earth. This means without Satan interfering with us so we can learn all we can about the way God wants us to live and worship He who created us in the first place.

There is no way to know how the earth would be if the original sin had not taken place. We know that Cain didn't have the right heart condition so Satan may have gotten to him if he were raised in the garden. As it is, Satan did get the better of Cain anyway.

That makes sense. Before the flood he said he destroyed the earth because it was to violent. Genesis 6:11 The earth was also corrupt before God and the earth was filled with violence.
what would he think of the earth today

Ruth, what a beautiful name, the great grandmother of David.

Christ will establish His 1000 years of reign here on Earth. Thats what the tribulation saints will inherit, after that Satan will be loosed and trick people again.

Then the Great White Throne Judgment will conclude everything. A new heaven and a new earth will be inherited by all who put their trust in Christ.

There's a bunch of stuff that suggests that the righteous will live on earth, but nobody actually pays attention unless it comes out of a religious figurehead's mouth... go figure. It sucks to think for yourself, don't it???

In all these verses notice that the planet still stood firm. The people on it, not so much. So would the planet still be called earth if no one was living on it?

Islam is very strict about lieing i think you are right. Read islamic view on lieing:

Telling Lie and Making False Statement:

Islam does not allow a little of falsehood to its followers. And falsehood in speech and action is unacceptable from a Muslim. "Narrated Abu Huraira: The Prophet said, "Whoever does not give up false statements (i.e. telling lies), and evil deeds, and speaking bad words to others, Allah is not in need of his (fasting) leaving his food and drink." - (Sahih AlBukhari 8.83)

Again it is stressed to avoid telling lies. "Narrated Abu Bakra: Allah's Apostle said thrice, "Shall I not inform you of the biggest of the great sins?" We said, "Yes, O Allah's Apostle" He said, "To join partners in worship with Allah; to be undutiful to one's parents." The Prophet sat up after he had been reclining and added, "And I warn you against giving forged statement and a false witness; I warn you against giving a forged statement and a false witness." The Prophet kept on saying that warning till we thought that he would not stop"-Sahih AlBukhari Hadith 5631-8.7)
