If I keep eating the foods I like just half the amount I usually eat, though I don't way over eat to start with and start incorporating fresh veggies and fruits into my diet. Stop drinking soda altogether and drink lots of water which I have already been doing for a few weeks (drinking the water not the soda thing). Excersise about 1-2 hours a day, every other day or as often as I can. I am not trying to get healthy, I just want to lose weight and I am looking to lose about 30 lbs, do you think I could possibly lose atleast 15 lbs in 2 months?

I been researching healthy ways to lose weight but I dont know if I am setting myself up for success or a big failure? If you have any extra tips to improve my plan please tell me.

Absolutely you can lose the weight, provided you aren't too trim where you are now. Several things depend on weight loss, two of which are genetics and your current body weight. The thinner you are the harder it is to burn off calories and lose weight. Also you shouldn't work out for 2 hours, unless you are doing 45-60 mins in the morning and the same like 8 hours later. Too much to close together can have an adverse affect on your body and ultimately your goals. Your eating plan sounds good, but remember, especially if you are working out a lot, you need to fuel your body, and so do not scrimp on food. To lose weight you need to eat! Eat often, eat sensible portions, and eat sensible food. Sounds like though you are doing things right, just monitor your weight and appearance once a week and make adjustments from there.

15 pounds in two months is certainly doable IF you really have that much weight to lose and if you're careful about what you eat. Losing weight - unless you're going to work out for 8 hours a day like they do on the Biggest Loser - is more about your food intake than it is about exercise.

I would suggest you work out but don't overdo it. Two hours is too much. One hour is OK - do some weights (but ones that keep you moving - don't rest too much) and then a small amount of intense cardio (15-20 minutes) like jogging, fast walking etc. You'll see results faster that way!

And of course watch what you eat. Everything in moderation. It's OK to have a cookie or two but it won't help you to eat 10 or the whole bag. Simply make healthy choices, drink plenty of water and you'll be fine!

Good luck!

you can only lose that much if you are working out twice a day for an hour at a time, and doing major cardio and eating whole grains gresh fruit and veggies and cutting out fatty and fried foods. Also portions and choices. If you go to a fast food place make the right choice, just because you're there does not mean you have to get a double cheesburgar a large fry and a large soda!! get a salad and a bottle of water! most fast food joints have salads do the right thing and dont over eat!

good luck

The safest way to lose weight is just stop eating ALL foods that contain white sugar and white unprocessed flour. You must read labels more, but I lost 60 lbs in 6 months (a safe amount, 10 lbs a month) and I ate everything else....just no white sugar and nothing with white flour. I even ate at the fast food restaurants but tossed the upper parts of the buns and at the burgers and cheese on just the lower half of the buns and still lost that amount of weight.... I exercised one hour a day, not two. It was not hard to do and the weight fell off.
good luck!

Cutting your portions in half is a great way to lose weight. That is one of the top reasons that obsesity is so prevailant. I don't know if you could lose 15 pounds in two months though! Maybe about 10. Keep at it. Cardio is crucial to weight lose so definately keep that habit up.

You don't say how many cals you normally eat, so 1/2 of what?
But anything less than 1600 cals/day is not advisable, esp. if you do exercise 1-2 hrs/day. And what exercise is it? Sorry, but I am unable to help much w/ the info provided.
And yes, giving up soft drinks altogether is excellent, esp. for women. Studies have shown a measurable decrease in bone mineral density among women who drink soft drinks, incl. diet soft drinks.
According to Drs you can safely lose 2-3 lbs/week and remain healthy - that is getting the nutrients you need. So at most 12 lbs/mth. Your goal of 15 lbs in 2 months is attainable.
