Catholics are pretty good at taking a joke I think.
They have spent so long defending arcane views and crazy church leaders that all they can do is laugh about it sometimes.

From my experience, which is purely anecdotal, Catholics, Anglicans and Jews seem to be able to laugh at themselves quite heartily. I've heard more Jewish jokes from Jews than I have from anyone else. And I've only ever heard Catholic jokes from Catholics. The naughtiest ones being told by a priest of my acquaintance! :) And Anglicans are always making self-deprecating remarks about how lifeless their congregations are, which just goes to show they have some spark after all.
Atheists and Muslims (yes I know, atheism blah blah blah not a religion) seem to almost completely lack the ability to poke fun at themselves... although atheists can be quite clever at times poking fun at others.
And I should conclude with a joke, I guess.
Four nuns in a car are pulled over by a cop for going too slow. He goes to the window and tells them, "Maam, you're going 19 km in a 100 km an hour zone."
"Oh," said the nun driving, "But the sign said 19," pointing at a sign off to the left.
"Sister, that's the highway number."
"Oh goodness, I'm sorry! I thought those were the speed limit signs!"
The cop noticed the other nuns were shaking and pale.
"What's wrong with them, sister?" The policeman asked.
"Oh, I don't know officer... they've been like that ever since we got off the 401!!"

Most of the religious joks I've ever heard were told by Catholic religious about the Catholic religion.
Second most frequent, Judaism by Jews.
I've NEVER heard a joke about Islam by a Muslim.
Or about Evangelicals by an Evangelical Christian.
I've never heard any jokes about Hinduism, Buddhism or Shinto either. And I've never heard an atheist make a joke about atheism. Nor do I ever expect to.
G.K.Chesterton once said that, "Satan fell through gravity."
Guess maybe more folks need to think on that and not take themselves quite so seriously. After all, we have a God with a marvelous sense of humor. He made warthogs, didn't He? And us!?

What a great bunch of answers! Clearly, a huge boat-load of people have great senses of humour, regardless of their faith! I'm agnostic, so it's not like all the agnostics know each other and get together at Starbucks to swap jokes but, if there ever were jokes about agnosticism, I'll bet the punchline is, "I dunno!."
LOL
Cheers

Sikhism is the straight answer...every second Indian joke is about them and they take it pretty coolly. You can imagine if every second Indian joke is about them then that's make s a huge figure.in fact it was a joke about Sikhs that won the joke of the year award few years ago in Britain.
For Example:
Two sikhs were sitting together and the first sikh says something into the second one's ears, hearing that the second sikh suddenly dies......
What did the first sikh tell the second sikhs hearing which he dies?
The first sikh whispered, "DHISHKAAAON" into the second sikhs's ear.

Hello!
I do not believe it is a matter of religion.
I think it comes back to being human.
Jesus Christ ,God has big shoulders and has stood the test of time in this field.
God the creator has a sense of humor if He didn't many of us would not be alive on planet earth!
Have a good day!

Zen Buddhists, but people usually only get the joke a long time after the punchline, if at all.

I think everyone (or most) in the non-religious sector agrees that Buddhism is the best religion in all categories.
