Same as it was last year, $1,000 for child tax credit. But it does max out at $3,000. Child(ren) have to be under age of 17 to get the credit. You also get an additional personal exemption of $3,400 for 2007 for a new child.

There isn't one. There never has been a "refund" for having a child.

You get an exemption for each dependent but the value of that depends upon your tax bracket. There are also various credits that you are entitled to but some of them are not refundable.

There are no "tax refunds" for children.

There is a $1000 Tax Credit plus you get a higher personal exemption.
