My bestfriend is 38 weeks preg. 8 days ago she accidentally slipped beside the street (EVENING) and bumped her tummy so hard (FULL IMPACT) in the street and now her tummy can still feel pain the wounds that the accident caused. even though she dont feel any pain or cramps inside, she can feel the baby is still moving active after that accident..(MORNING) she consulted her doctor and tell about the whole thing happends. so then the doctor checked the baby's heartbeat resulted fine, the movement is also okay..but she worries now that even if 8 days had passed, wounds are now healed in her tummy she can still feel the pain if you touch it..she worries also if the baby had injuries beacuse of the wounds she had?

----WE THANK YOU ALL IN ADVANCE FOR THE ANSWERS

I know that your friend is concerned, of course because it is her child!! But if the little one is still moving and the doctor told her that everything is okay, I'm sure it is.
She probably won't be truely relieved until she sees her new baby for herself, but I was the same way.
Tell her that I fell face first off of a school bus when I was 7 1/2 months pregnant. I was on a field trip with my oldest son and just fell right off the steps right on to my stomach. And my youngest son was just fine!! Now we tease my son, when he does something crazy, we say it's because I dropped him on his head . lol
The person that she hurt is herself, with caring her baby weight she probably didn't fall gracefully and that has caused her to be very sore.
Good Luck to Ya'll and have a Healthy,Happy Baby !!!!!

If the Dr's checked her and the baby and everything is fine the baby is still moving and all. I would say she is probably bruised very badly and that will take some time to heal being pregnant her skin is stretched and she may feel the pain a little longer than normal. If she stays worried take her to the hospital and get a different Dr's opinion on it. this might make her feel better to have a second opinion. Good luck

It is highly unlikely that she did any harm to her baby. They are protected pretty well in there. She may feel pain for quite some time after a fall. Have her talk to her doctor at her next check up (if she's at 38 weeks, she should be seeing him at least weekly) and explain that she is still feeling some pain. He will probably advise her to take an over-the-counter pain reliever that is safe for her to take at this point in her pregnancy. Just reassure her that everything will be just fine, pretty soon she will have her baby in her arms and the pain of her fall will subside.

If your friend is not going to listen to her doctor and trust their advise, why would she listen to strangers on the internet?

She is probably just a little bruised from the fall. It takes a while for that soreness to go away. If the baby was injured the doctor would have said something.

Have your friend ask for an ultrasound to be performed to make sure that no damage has been done to the baby. I think this would put to rest any concerns.
