K12 Nissan Micra's did not have an alarm fitted as standard or factory fitted as you ask. The NATS system is so advanced that no alarm is needed they say.
Nissan Anti Theft System uses 5 specific items within the car to make up a "dongle" The dongle needs to recognise all 5 items within the car or it doesn't start, this recognition happens within 750ms so if all is welll in your car you never see a problem, If you have a problem the nats will illuminate( red car shaped light on dash)
They may have NATS but that will not stop anyone from physically lifting your car and towing it away, it just means that so many parts of your car can't be re-used and your car will NEVER start.

In America we don't get the Micra. I really don't know but to tell you to roll down the drivers side window lock the car wait 90 seconds and open the drivers door from the inside handle the alarm should sound. You can turn it off with remote or trunk or drivers side door lock. When tha factory alarm is sounding the car will not start.
