Do you really think Islam is the most violent religion?

I am a Muslim. Is it our fault that some of us are not letting the world live in peace ? Islam doesn't promote violence and terrorism so how can you say it is the most violent religion ? Think about it. Don't just say what you are told to think. Use your brains and your hearts and tell me is it really Islam that is responsible for everything awful going on in this world? aren't there other religions involved ? if there are, why is only Islam told to be the most hatefilled religion spreading violence , causing terror? what do you have against us? we have a heart just like you do, we like to live in peace and with love just like you do, we like to make people happy just like you do. So how do we become the most violent religion? Why don't you understand that a group of violent brainwashed people cannot and DOES NOT represent the whole of ISLAM?

Well now theres extreamists and then theres moderate muslims.
Moderate muslims simply believe in rape and stoning their mothers, wives and daughters to death for the flimiest of reasons oh and honour killings so in that respect yes it is violent, but not a religion? But a cult.

They picture Muslims in that way. Much of people like 'self righteous' are blind believers of media and not facts. Just go through history and today's records of who has killed the much of innocents. Who started the world wars and dropped atomic bombs on civilians. Vietnam, Afghanistan, Iraq...killing thousands of innocents, yet they say Islam or Muslims are behind everything. It is a fact that some Muslims did use terrorism as their means to reach their goals to blame Islam and Muslims. In Islam we are taught that an evil is not fought by another evil but through good and right actions.

islam is a way of life.not only a religion as it comes to satisfy our spiritual life between Allah and ourselves.but it also comes to satisfy our needs for islam as the solution for the world's 1001 affairs.the problem now is that islam is let interpreted by humankind himself not by its sources i.e.the Qur'an and as sunnah.while islam is from Allah conveyed by Muhammad SAW to mankind.it's the standard to tell about islam.either mankind accepts it or not,it's his/her own problem/bussiness.and the problem now is that we ask people if islam is the most violent religion.so they are free to answer or speak of whatever they want.coz we live in the secular and democratic system of life.
if it is meant that islam is the violent religion just bcoz some muslims did that,that's a problem of human's error.we shan't blame islam for the violence coz islam never taught,teaches violence and never will.

who is actually violent in this world?look at what happened to the people in iraq,palestine,afghanistan,etc,they're mostly manslaughtered by enemies just b'coz they're muslims.isn't it a violence?and still we stand 'patient' and silent with their death.what are we gonna say to Allah in the day of judgement?

no Muslim say that it was Christianity or Judaism who brought that to Iraq
all saying that bush administration had this brought to Iraq

the same thing in Afghanistan bin ladin was trained .armed and financed by Americans to fight an American war against Russia and then bin ladin recognized that he was conceived so he had his war with America
you got to remember America went to all Muslim countries and collected all the extremest and opened camps for them to lecture and be leaders for Muslim extremism and that's why you see some in the west who took some of them to his countries such as England and France and Belgium to have them there in case they might be needed for further usage

I totally hear you sister...and i wonder about it too...but its not us that promotes violence or anything....its either everyone or no one at all...Nowadays, peole are too lazy to think and actually research..they just listen to what media gives them,...and the Quran never said to kill muslims..im sure WE know what the quran says cause WE pray it, WE listen to it, WE praise it, WE Read it, We understand it, and WE Translated it, meanng we studies it...so dont tell us what it says in the quran...AND ITS QURAN NOT KORAN...when you spell it as Koran it is disrespecting it as in arabic it is a Qaf....meaning a Q..not a K...The meaning is different...anyways..dont worry about media and others putting you down..be proud of who you are...and in islam we are told that we are going to face more problems then just this my dear..alot more..so just pray to Allah (SWT) to give us strength

The brainwashed people don't represent the whole of Islam, and I agree with that. The difference is that they actually believe and follow the Koran word for word. Most don't do that, they don't take it as literally, they just do what the Christians do and make all the bad stuff a metaphor for something else that isn't as horrible.
