There is a guy who has just started at work, and I cannot work out whether he is being friendly, or is interested?

He sends me emails, which seem to be kind of flirty, but when i see him never says much to me, and he is not particulary shy either.

Am I reading too much into it? x

Office romances are not a good thing. When they end it usually happens one of two ways. Either one of them gets fired or feels that they have to leave the job, or everyday is very awkward. Your best bet is to just be a friend.

Of course you are. He's a new guy and he's just being friendly, your the 1st person to engage with him and he is just getting to know you. I send my male friends e mails - does that mean i'm flirting with them.? Hell no. For all you know, he could be gay.

Don't read too much into it otherwise you'll end up looking a fool.

Yes I think you are reading too much into it. Until he has actually asked you out or asking you if you have a boyfriend, you should just take what he does as neutral. Why read into it now and it turns out to be nothing? You would be sooo disappointed..... wait for more real signs before speculating his intentions.

Take things slow he is new so let him get used to the place and people first, start to become friends with him at first and this way you will find out more about him and become closer to him. It takes time hun but if it is meant to be it will be.

Good luck, hope I have helped x

ok, I'm going to try to be nice.

Please dont date at work. It's unprofessional. Stick to work.

Not a bar, it's work. Please ur not paid to find the new guy interesting.

It causes more problems and drama where there is plenty dealing with work issues and co-worker problems.
