With the Degree he has, he isn't very competitive. The AF is looking for Engineering and other hard Sciences, with GPAs of at least 3.5. Same with the Navy. Other factors include leadership experience, Volunteerism, involvement in sports and other extracurricular activities.
he'd have a much better shot at the Army.
