Think on this..... what does it mean to "watch someone drown".....??
It means to see someone struggle to stay on top of something. the lake the the issue which is overwhelming....

Lake represents trials, worry, anxieties, stress, and the issues of life. You are seeing your son go through some issues which he is drowning in and going under and you feel helpless.

You are watching your son grow up and you are forced to stand by helplessly and watch him make his own mistakes and figure his own life out. There is not a whole hell of a lot that you can do about it.... tough times. Part of having these beautiful bouncing babies.... they grow up and they take on their own just like you and I did... a nd our parents before.

OK,your son might suffer a difficulty in living or work and you were not able to help him to solve his problem even if you wanted so.
