Not intentionally, even a low powered airgun pellet travels at 600 feet per second, too fast to see, if it is coming towards you, never mind catch. You may be thinking of an old illusionists trick where they caught a bullet in their teeth, this was done by sleight of hand.
Edit;
Chris H; If you had read my post, you would see that I said "coming towards you", and if you had spent as much time at a range as myself, I would be astonished. Just as a matter of interest, when did you last regulate a double rifle?

Yes. I wanted to see the difference between a .22 Magnum Bullet, and a .22 Long Rifle Bullet, using a Ruger Single Six with both Cylinders, - Against a new Culvert Pipe. The Magnum went thru 1 side. The Long Rifle "Bounced Back". Out of reflexes I grabbed It like a Horse Fly..Didn't even Sting..! TRUE..! I know this "Cheats" You're question, I just had to throw this in. Later. G.G.

If by that, you mean you catch it by having it be lodged in the bones of your hand/foot, then yes? It's been pretty definitely proven that a person (nor most any rigid mechanical body) can effectively catch a bullet at its standard traveling speed.

It's simply a matter that you need to decellerate the bullet very fast without causing it to break into pieces (and without having it fall apart). Hence, you can actually do that by having the bullet HIT you can your liquid blood will provide a cushion to help dampen its impact into your bones- meaning you might be able to stop a small calliber round (intact) and lodged in an appendage.

Alternatively, in theory anyone can catch a bullet safely, simply by shooting it such a distance as it uses up all its energy and is moving slowly. Air resistance will eventually reduce any bullet down to a stop (minus the effect of gravity, usually). So technically, if one could control for wind and angle- anyone could shoot a bullet straight up in the air and catch it when it comes down (Mythbusters showed this). Because then the bullet will only be moving at its terminal velocity (about 70 miles per hour). Unfortunately, you can't control wind or anything else, especially a mile into the atmosphere- so it's highly unlikely that anyone has caught a bullet in this manner, ever.

Also, by definition, catching seems to indicate that one INTENDS to catch a bullet- and so then can see its approach and plans to catch it. By this definition, it is near impossible that anyone has ever caught a bullet- because to safely catch one (unless there was some sort of misfire) the person would have to be well out of the proximity of where the bullet was fired (and so would have no way of 'watching and catching' the bullet). So really, unless one was aided by some tracking system- there is no way one could catch a bullet anyways like one would a baseball, it's just too small to see and track down with the human eye.

Hell, I've caught two with my body !!
So, I'm sure that a few people have caught them in their hand and in their feet and almost every other place that one COULD catch one !!

As far as the "circus act" thing you're talking of here, though --- NO -- this is a hoax "act" and it has been disproven several times by various "investigators" !!!

E.S.Kimo, you need to spend more time at the range and watch more carefully. In good light you can see a 40 or 45 slug at 1000fps with no trouble.

But yes, an airgun pellet will punch through a couple of inches of rabbit at 50 yards. Even a low powered 38 target wadcutter load will have no problem ripping off all your fingers.

A spent bullet may have landed on someone's hand at some point, but it was stopping anyway, they didn't 'catch' it.

I caught an air rifle pellet once

I was shooting at a piece of wood and it bounced back and hit my shirt which absorbed all of it's energy and before it hit the ground i caught it.
