A small temperature increase will likely increase agricultural yields in North America a cause droughts in the Middle East and North Africa. Surely the policy makers must know that it is cheaper to drive a SUV in Chicago than to drive an M1 Abrams in Baghdad or Tehran.

We're already committed to a small temperature increase though. At this point the only thing we can do is try to avoid a large one.

What- like the Government will put a trade imbargo if South Korea doesn't adapt to hybrid cars? We aren't even close to changing over here!!

The US is probably going to be blamed for any droughts in the Middle East (and if Iran's nuclear weapons programme isn't dealt with...).

Of course global warming is political. If it wasn't in the news everyday, do one would even know it was an issue.
