I been with my husband for 13 years and when we get intimate , I get ready to suck his neck , he always turn away. Its weird , he says Hickys cause blood clots,I dont think he serious.how can a person be in the heat of the moment then turns his wife away from putting a hicky on him, what do u think?

hickies ARE bad for you.. in the same way a bruise is.. it concentrates blood to one area and it is suppose to be everywhere.
If he does't want a hicky for "whatever" he says is his reason.. but be happy for the affection you already share. 13 yrs now a days is almost a mericle.. enjoy it.. even revel in it. But mostly.. don't give it bad blood.... lol

Actually a hickey is when the blood is being forced to one spot on your body, im in the medical profession so I know that, contrary to what people think. As far as why he might not want one, probably because they are trashy, where does he work? If he wears business clothes why would you want him to look as though he was with a $5 hooker last night? Hickeys are not cute, and they shouldnt be made on someone, its a bruise, just like if you bang your knee and it turns purple...thats what a hickey does too, its not meant to be there. Tell him that you feel like he is betraying you and maybe you can come up with a new thing to do instead of giving him a hickey, like a dog marking his territory.

For one, hickeys are tacky. Always have been. Even as an adult he may feel uncomfortable with it being seen by someone, and needing to deal with being given a hard time about it. Maybe he was given one as a teenager and was teased about it. He may be uncomfortable with the thought now.
Hickeys don't cause blood clots unless you attempt to suck the life out of him.
If this concerns you so much, ask him why he really doesn't want to have one. And ask yourself why you want to give him one.... they're not that glamorous.

Maybe he doesn't like the way you do it and instead of coming out and telling you and potentially hurting your feelings, he just uses an excuse. Or perhaps he doesn't like walking around with a hicky on his neck. Perhaps he doesn't want his friends to tease him about it. It could be a number of things but probably nothing you should be worrying yourself about.

Maybe hicky's are a turn off for him. I knew this guy that wouldn't date chicks that gave him hicky's because he thought they were immature and unnessary, only for kids in jr. high. I think women enjoy them more, but if you've been together 13 years he should be able to tell you that

Hicky's are tacky and trashy. Trailer people. Need I say more? At least he has enough sense to realize that. There is no reason for hickys.

if he is still into having sex with you in other ways then i am sure he is still attracted to you and you are not the reason why he doesnt want to have a hicky. so if that is the case and he doesnt seem unattracted to you, dont worry =) hope all goes well..13 years good job!

Well if you can't give you husband hickeys, maybe because he feels that he is an adult not a 13 year old - but hey why don't you just give that man that you are messing around with a hickey???

Because nobody wants to have a visible hickey, it looks trashy, you can kindof get away with it when you're young but after being married for 13 years, it's just gross to see that.

I hate Hickeys, I would not let anyone see me with one of them I am a faithful husband so I disagree with everyone who answer before me.
After 13 years don't you think its obvious he doesn't like hickeys? Does he give you any?
