Thanks for that huge vote of confidence bootsareapacke, you are making me blush ,as if I had more power than Jesus.
How ever I am NOT threatening the world with Nuclear war,or sell arms ,manipulate political unrest or wage war all over the world .
Neither do I deforest half a million hectares annually in Mexico, similar in Borneo,South America,Africa,India etc.
or impose cultural conformity on People and suggest that my Agenda demands a reduction of the worlds population of 60%
That is what Americans DO.
not to speak of Pollution
As for the skeptics ,they tend to be rightwingish and do not regard Global Warming a threat ,so that leaves them to say that their Country IS

Compared to many countries the issue of global warming is a comparatively new concept for many Americans. Here in Europe we began acting in the 1980's, having had more time to come to terms with what's happening it's something that is better understood and more widely accepted.
In the US the issue has been heavily politicised, this is rarely a good thing as it inevitably leads to people taking sides. It's no surprise therefore that skeptics are more likely to be Republicans than Democrats. Outside the US there isn’t the same political divisions and there is cross party support for climate change issues. Here in the UK for example there are three main political parties and dozens of smaller ones, every one of them considers climate change to be a serious issue.
President Bush has done little to help and stands isolated on the political stage. He is the only leader of any major nation not to be actively pursuing policies to tackle climate change. Like myself, you’re outside the US so have an outside perspective on what’s happening, this often gives a more objective view of events.
I don’t think Americans as individuals are as much of a threat as the political leadership of the country. Bush will be out of office shortly, the new President may adopt a different approach.
To answer your specific question - b) Global Warming.

Your question is odd, since you said it's for the skeptics. Frankly, the skeptics, should not believe either is a problem.
I'm American, live in Idaho. I believe global warming is real, and the sun is causing it, as part of it's natural cycle (the other planets in our solar system are heating up). Mankind is not causing global warming, mankind is simply polluting the earth to death.
I believe you have read some of my postings before, and already know that my husband and I live on a permaculture farm.
Americans have used the most resources for the past bit of history. I believe the resources America has used are going to be dwarfed, and a tiny drop in the bucket, compaired to what China & India are about to gobble up. In the next 50 years, I would not be suprised to see China & India use 4 times the resources America has used in the past 200 years.
Of course there will be one SIGNIFIGANT difference. America has been the bread basket for much of the world, supplying both food, and medicine to many, many countries.
China & India will be gobbling the resources mostly just to feed their own TITANIC populations, with little to no extra food for humanitarian reasons. America will still be expected to produce food for starving people in other countries. America will continue to be criticized for it's use of resources.
I'm not saying America is perfect by any means. But if you dropped all borders, in all countries, to what country to you suppose most people of the world would flock to?
As for the person who was bashing on President Bush, most people (even Americans) are totally unaware of the fantastic alternative energy laws Pres Bush has passed. President Bush has done more for renewable forms of energy (wind, solar, tidal, auto, biofuels, ect) than ANY other President before him.
By the way, I wonder how many know that President Bush's personal ranch in Crawford, Texas is ACTUALLY very environmentally friendly? Unlike Al Gore, who's simply trying to pay lip-service to the idea of being environmentally friendly, and pays money for "green service" yet does not actually live in an environmentally friendly house.
How many know that Clinton refused to sign renewable energy bills, to start getting wind towers, and solar farms built? Thank you President Bush, I for one appreciate the renewable energy bills you have passed!

Americans are not the main cause of global warming. China and India cause MUCH more using dirty coal technology as their main source of energy. Americans have a pretty clean record compared to third world countries polluting the air, the ozone and the rivers and oceans.

neither, wars, imperialism, poverty getting worse, violent crime, pollution and overfishing etc are more pressing. I know you gave two choices but life is seldom two choices. And your first choice is too ambiguous, and the second is too, could you have asked man's contribution to global warming and the amercian governments cabals or americans government use of the military? This would of been easier for me to answer.
