Jesus IS the son of God! The Muslims are decieved!! He was born of the virgin Mary and He had NO sin. Therefore when He died on the cross, He was the sinless sacrifice that enables man to be redeemed and able to be saved and go to heaven. After that He rose from the dead on the 3rd day and 40 days later he ascended to heaven on the right hand side of the Father
(God Almighty). This is where He is today. The price was already paid for our sins 2,00 years ago. All we have to do now is just believe in Christ as the resurrected son of God and accept His sacrifice and we will be SAVED! He will change your life for the better and make you understand everything and make you the happiest you can possibly be. All you have to do is pray something like this."Dear heavenly Father, I believe that Jesus is your son who died on the cross and rose again on the third day. I am sorry for all of my sins Lord, and I accept the Lord Jesus Christ as my saviour and I ask that you fill me with Your Holy Spirit so that I may live my life for you. In the name of Jesus I pray, Amen.

If you say that prayer and truly mean it and believe it you will be saved. This is the truth, It happened to me about 1 year ago. I am telling you this because it REALLY did happen to me and I know that God and His son Jesus are Real and they will change your life and save you from the penalty from sin which is death. If you said this prayer and meant it God's Holy Spirit will come into you and talk to you and tell you what is wrong and rite and will make your life the happiest and best it can possibly be. I only tell you this because I care for you.

There are only three possible answers to this question:

1) Jesus was a deceitful liar because he said he was God incarnate and he knew he wasn't. Not exactly the profile of a reputable prophet.

2) Jesus was a delusional mental case because he thought he was god and really wasn't. Once again, not the profile of a reputable prophet.

3) He was who he said he was - the only rational conclusion

Prophet, teacher, good/wise man is not a possible answer.

Did a historical Jesus exist?
http://www.nobeliefs.com/exist.htm

ALL CLAIMS OF JESUS DERIVE FROM HEARSAY ACCOUNTS

No one has the slightest physical evidence to support a historical Jesus; no artifacts, dwelling, works of carpentry, or self-written manuscripts. All claims about Jesus derive from writings of other people. There occurs no contemporary Roman record that shows Pontius Pilate executing a man named Jesus. Devastating to historians, there occurs not a single contemporary writing that mentions Jesus. All documents about Jesus got written well after the life of the alleged Jesus from either: unknown authors, people who had never met an earthly Jesus, or from fraudulent, mythical or allegorical writings. Although one can argue that many of these writings come from fraud or interpolations, I will use the information and dates to show that even if these sources did not come from interpolations, they could still not serve as reliable evidence for a historical Jesus, simply because all sources derive from hearsay accounts.

Hearsay means information derived from other people rather than on a witness' own knowledge.

Courts of law do not generally allow hearsay as testimony, and nor does honest modern scholarship. Hearsay provides no proof or good evidence, and therefore, we should dismiss it.

He never claimed to be more than that. He never asked to be worshipped, infact He said that the greatest sin is to worship someone other than God- Yahweh.

This is what the Quran has to say about Jesus (and btw I've read the Bible too, and it is only when others are speaking- not Jesus or God- does Jesus appear to be idolized):

"ALLAH is HE besides Whom there is none worthy of worship, the Living, the Self-Subsisting and All-Sustaining. HE has sent down to thee the Book containing the truth and fulfilling that which precedes it; and HE has sent down the Torah (Law of Moses) and the Gospel (of Jesus) before this, as a guidance to the people; and HE has sent down the Discrimination (judgement between right and wrong)." -- Qur'an, Surah 3:3-4

When the angels said, 'O Mary, ALLAH gives thee glad tidings of a son through a word from HIM; his name shall be the Messiah, Jesus, son of Mary, honoured in this world and in the next, and of those who are granted nearness to God;

'And he shall speak to the people in the cradle, and when of middle age, and he shall be of the righteous.

She said, 'My Lord, how shall I have a son, when no man has touched me? He said, 'Such is the way of ALLAH. HE creates what HE pleases. When HE decrees a thing HE says to it 'Be,' and it is;" -- Qur'an, Surah 3:38-48

"Thereupon she pointed to him. They said, 'How can we talk to one who is a child in the cradle?' Jesus said, 'I am a servant of ALLAH. HE has given me the Book, and has made me a Prophet; 'And HE has made me blessed wheresoever I may be, and has enjoined upon me Prayer and almsgiving so long as I live; 'And HE has made me dutiful towards my mother, and has not made me arrogant and graceless; 'And peace was on me the day I was born, and peace will be on me the day I shall die, and the day I shall be raised up to life again.' That was Jesus, son of Mary. This is a statement of the truth concerning which they entertain doubt." -- Qur'an, Surah 19:30-35

Muslims have a narrow View Of Jesus, to them he was just a stepping stone for Mohommad. They may have someone Written in their Quran whom they say is the Jesus we read about In the Bible, but their version of Jesus is Totally Flawed. Their version says Jesus did not Die. That he escaped. That is enough Nonsense for me to discard their " Holy" book as nothing more than folklore & Mythology.

No other “religious founder” was God become man (John 1:1,14) – the only way an infinite debt could be paid. Jesus had to be God so that He could pay our debt. Jesus had to be man so He could die. Salvation is available only through faith in Jesus Christ! “Salvation is found in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven given to men by which we must be saved” (Acts 4:12).

Jesus is believed to be God's only Son, a great prophet, an enlightened soul, a brilliant teacher, ect. It's interesting that Jesus himself said in the Bible that He didn't come to bring unity but division (please forgive me for paraphrasing)...maybe this is what He meant! Peace!
