Look at 2 Peter 2 for an explanation of how the Christian message is often distorted.

If you truly submit yourself to God, you would be baptized for the remission of your sins.

Once your sins are washed away, they stay gone. If you happen to commit a new one after baptism, then all you need to is repent, and that one will be washed away too.

However, remember that repent means to turn away from the sin in your life. You may one day succumb to a temptation, but that does not mean you have lost salvation. I wonder about what God does if you fail to repent. Some beliefs state that once saved always saved, others are of the opinion that you need to continue repenting so you don't die in a state of sin.

Personally, I think God is a loving and forgiving God, and will take into consideration our human nature. But, I wouldn't want to take any chances, so I stay "Prayed Up".

So no, you no longer live in a state of sin as a matter of course. You will fail to reach the perfection of God, which is sin, but you do not have to remain in that state.

Do you HAVE to? Is it a "must Do" thing? No. A person will sin regardless. We are human and as such, prone to error. I don't know who you might feel is the best person alive, or the person that you feel would come as close to being holy as is possible. I'll use the well known Billy Graham. I know that Billy Graham, with all his fine attributes, would tell you that he's a sinner and that of his own accord, he deserves damnation. Billy Graham as well as MANY others have submitted themselves to Christ and try to resist the devil but just as the Bible teaches--All have sinned and fall short of the glory of God. Even as good a person as the apostle Paul was admitted up front and personal, that he was a sinner and of his own accord, deserved nothing good. Read the Bible books he wrote..Romans, Corinthians, Ephesians and others. You will see that what I am saying is true.God doesn't really want us to sin, but He knows we will. That is why Jesus came to earth. He came to deliver us from sin and the punishment of sin.

And just where else would we live? Where do you know, on this earth, that is free from sin? Your house? Somewhere else? Perhaps you believe a church is somehow free from sin, for any considerable lenght of time? Nowhere, and none that I have ever experienced. That is, unless our idea of 'sin' is misguided. But I do not hear many religious people questioning that aspect of themselves...most just go about judging blindly, or parroting someone elses opinions.

No, because if you are dead to sin, you are alive to God. God hates sin. When we choose to obey Him rather than the lusts of the world, the flesh, and the devil, we are in His Will. No one can stay in His perfect Will. Because of that reason we have 1John 1:9. If we could stay perfect, we would be with Him in heaven. "Living in sin" is a continuation of a sin, a dwelling in it rather than just a onetime offense. When we love our sin and continue in it, we are no longer in submission to God. Then we have to flee from our pet sin and back to the arms of God. We shouldn't take liberty in the flesh but seek God's forgiveness, Then we have to forgive ourselves, and move on in service to Him.

When you submit to God and have Christ living in you, you have the power to fight sin and living in the flesh. You'll still be tempted every single day, but if you're wearing the armor of God you know you can defeat sin. You may live among it, but it doesn't have to effect you.

You could continue to live is sin if you choose to. Just because you commit your life to God, doesn't mean that the bad in it goes away. In fact, it becomes ever more present.

You still have to make the conscious decision to make the change necessary of showing that commitment to God.

Let us speak honestly, brothers. Who can say I'm clean and without sin ? "...If we say that we have no sin, we are deceiving ourselves and the truth is not in us.
If we confess our sins, He is faithful and righteous to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.
If we say that we have not sinned, we make Him a liar and His word is not in us.".............1John 1:8-10. It is not so simple to get rid of many sins. If Christian commit a sin again and again, all the same, he does not live in sin. We live under God's grace. Only when some don't repent from any sin, he can not be forgiven. Many people whom Christian must to help were driven out of church because they repeated committing sins or they themselves was ashamed and ceased attend church. Who will help them when they are thrown out ? This world will not help. This world will be beating them completely. Those who pretend to be without sin must not to be so proud. They were forgiven in the same way. They could not clean themselves without God's grace. We must, MUST, be glad when sinners come in church. We must to care about them, to help them who can not yet to get rid of sins. Gal 6:2 === Bear one another's burdens, and so fulfill
THE LAW OF CHRIST.

You accept Jesus and give yourself to Him, in return.

Living in sin? Makes no sense. Sin is that which would enslave you. After finding Jesus and learning the gift of freedom He brings, why would you want to continue in slavery? Drop it
