Some recipe ideas are Banana Bread, Angel food cake that has been hollowed out and filled with strawberries, strawberry jello and the left over cake pieces then put back together and spread with whipped cream. Another is fresh strawberry pie or any fruit pie - there's cobblers, crisps, slumps, baked apples, fruit pasties (like pie dough cut into rounds and filled with cherry pie filling or other cooked fruit, folded over, sealed and baked until golden).

Fresh Fruit Smoothies - Clean and freeze strawberries (or any other berries) whole. Peel bananas, cut in chunks and freeze. Other fruite like peaches and nectaries can be sliced and frozen. Put about 2 cups of frozen fruit in your blender. Add one cup of vanilla yogurt, ice cream or milk. Add juice up to the four cup mark. Blend and enjoy.

Add sliced strawberries to a salad that includes walnuts, green onions and feta cheese. Serve with raspberry vinagrette.

Slice bananas and strawberries over yogurt. Add granola or other cereal.

I am in a mommy's group and we make a lot of things with fresh and/or frozen fruit (out of season). A lot of the things we make are easy for kids to make as well. I hope you like some of these ideas!

Fruit N Yogurt Parfait
Depending on how much of this you make will vary the amount of ingredients you need. You can make it many ways. We usually set all the fruits in different bowls, give each kid a cup, and let them put what they want in it. you could also put it all in a blender and give it a quick mix.
Fill cup/bowl half full of non fat plain yogurt. Add ANY amount and type of fruit you want to it, make sure the bigger fruits are cut to small bite sizes. We use bananas, strawberries, blue berries, peachs, and mango. You can also get some plain granola and sprinkle it on top.

Fruit Jello
Make sugar free Jello like box says. Any flavor is good, but I like lime or cherry myself. Add any variety of fruit you want. If you want it to be at the bottom then add it before you put it in the fridge. If you want the fruit to be in the middle/top add it after about 30-60 minutes of being in fridge.

Grahm Cracker Fruit Pie
Get grahmcracker pie crust (make or buy premade) get 1 small tub of light/fat free whipped cream. 2 small boxes of strawberry kiwi Jello. 3 or 4 kiwis. Mix one packet of jello (granules DO NOT MAKE JELLO) into the whipped topping. you can either A. line the bottom of the pie with thinly sliced kiwi, then put the mix on top, or B. put the whipped topping mix in the crust, and add thinly sliced kiwi on top of that. I prefer B. Either one you do, sprinkle 1/2 of jello mix on top of pie. This is a family favorite at family get togethers

This isn't really MAKING anything, but it's quick, easy, and makes it a little healthy. Get low fat frozen yogurt, or ice cream. Get any fruits your family might like. We prefer strawberries AND blueberries/rasberries. Make a bowl of yogurt, let it melt just slightly, add your fruit into the bowl, mix up just a little bit, then sprikle crushed grahmcrackers on top of that. My son LOVES this.

There is always the good old fruit salad add any fruit you want into a large bowl, mix it all together, keep as much juice as you can in the bowl. If you want more of a syrup boil a little bit of sugar(or sweet n low type stuff if you are trying to be healthy) and water, let cool and mix in fruit.

If you want a fruit dip you can get plain yogurt and put just about any flavorings into it for your fruit. Almond, vanilla, and strawberry are good ones.
