My current (first) boyfriend of one month keeps on saying "I LOVE YOU"?

The thing is i am not that good at saying i love you to anyone, not even my parents. My dad always says "do you love me"? I always answer back sarcastically NO.

I think this upsets my boyfriend that i never say it back. Guys, would this upset you?

We are both in our 20's.

Not after only a month... That is WAY too soon.

ONE MONTH??? You're still strangers !!!
Besides, you can't say it if you don't mean it !

It would upset me more if it was said to me and she didn't mean it. Sarcasm is NOT recommended unless you really do mean NO.

There was a movie not too long ago called "Ghost", in which the couple (Demmi Moore, and Patrick Swayze) were madly in love; she would always say I love you, and he would reply "Ditto". (which means "also" or "likewise" if you don't know).

The point I'm trying to make is, they were both saying I love you, but to him, he just couldn't say the words, until the end of the picture. But he still loved her deeply.

If you can't say the words (like Sam in the movie), show him in some other way that he'll understand.

Well, if you've only known him for 1 month then... He shouldn't even be saying "I love you".
Anyways, I think that it would upset guys because they're somewhat alike to women with girlfriends/boyfriends when they're in their 20's

Don't say it if you don't mean it, but if you do feel that you love him, you might start using it back to him so that he knows where he stands with you at least....
Let him know that it is hard for you to say all the time and come up with alternatives like "ditto" or "back at you" or "me too" etc... sit and talk with him...communicate and you can't go wrong. You might also let him know that he doesn't have to say it every time you two part company or talk to each other.... try talking

well you havent been going out very long, so i don't think you should be expected to say "I love you". However, if you've said "i love you" before, and all the sudden you don't, thats usually sign your mind is elsewhere, or with someone else.

Don't know if it would upset me, but if I said it and meant it and didn't hear it back, silence over and over, I would probably conclude you didn't love me.
