Global warming is terrible. Right now, for example, it feels like summer. What's up with that?

Yes Global Warming is a natural process but since the age of the industrialization humans have effectively accelerated the natural process of Global Warming, which is no where near being a good think. But there is hope we still have the resources, MONEY, MAN POWER, and TIME (even though time is running out) to correct this problem.
If you still say that this is not a problem and we can't do anything to correct it then I have a question for you. In about 30 years time if the world continues business as usual, and your children will have to life in a raging, dying world and there's nothing they or anyone else can do about it what will you say to them. What will you say to them when they ask you, "What were you thinking? Why didn't you do anything?"
What are you going to say to them?

No 'global warming alarmist' has ever said every aspect of global warming is a negative one (look at the responses to specific questions about this in previous questions). There are other benefits as well but they're far outweighed by the negative impacts.
Your logic is like claiming it's good to burn your house down because it means you don't need to redecorate.

What are you saying ..... we need more shipping for more recalls. Don't think so.
Dispute ... I just did.
I'm an alarmist when I hear from people like you!
Why don't you take the next ship that says "Going The Other Way."
So now you have it folks ... Mr Global Warming just melted away. Bye, Bye

You know what, you're absolutely right! I don't know why I didn't see it before. One positive outcome of a situation completely negates any of the negative outcomes. In fact, people with cancer tend to lose weight, so lets stop trying to treat and cure cancer. I mean, the world loves skinny people, right?
It's the exact same logic, and it sounds just as disgusting and backward when you use it to talk about the global environment.

There will be hundreds of "benefits" of this type. You'll be able to cook your morning eggs on the sidewalk, without needing to bother with a stove. Later on, you can melt silver to make jewelry on the same sidewalk, eliminating the need for a torch. As the billions of people on this planet die out, you'll have a better view of the screen when you go to the movies, without all those "big hair" ladies. We are of course grateful to ye of superior intelligence for identifying these for us as we go along.

You're joking, right? There's one benefit to global warming, therefore global warming is good? Wow, that's Mr. Jello level logic.
I guess we can ignore 150,000 deaths per year, doubling within the next 20 years, widespread droughts, heat waves, water shortages, floods, stronger hurricanes, etc. etc. Who cares when the northwest passage is open?!

Good grief. You're focusing on one unimportant thing (now that we have airplanes and the Panama Canal). And you're overlooking massive damages to our coasts and agriculture. A major disaster; economic for rich countries, human for poor ones. Details.

That's beyond sick.
By the way Canadian agriculture will likely improve. Whoopee. Of course it won't be enough to feed the thousands in Bangladesh who will be starving, as their rice fields are innundated by salt water.
The world will be turned upside down. A few things will benefit. Like poison ivy:

I'm just thrilled for the plant.
Does the concept "the big picture" have any meaning for you?

Boy did you miss it. With the ice gone the Canadians or Russians will be able to drill for oil under the pole and we will be able to spew even more co2 into the air.

I agree with you, but the activists will just complain about our non-existant penguin friends at the North Pole (they only live at the South Pole). Human global warming is pretty irrational.
