Because if we don't succeed in changing things for the better in Vietnam, those soldiers will have died in vain. In spite of the fact that we often blunder in and make foolish decisions militarily, America by and large means well. If things are no better there than they were before our military involvement, what is the point of the sacrifice?

Well, you need to understand that we were not in Vietnam to actually fight Vietnamese, we were there to "draw a line in the sand" to stop the previously unchallenged spread of Communism from The USSR and China. And to that mission, the Vietnam episode was an extremely successful political campaign, if not a military one.
The problem is, while we were helping one faction of Vietnamese we were killing a whole bunch of the other faction, who as it turned out were not really that much Communist as they were Nationalist. That is, they wanted Vietnam to finally be run by Vietnamese.
Also, The USA has a habit of helping rebuild our enemies countries after wars and it has won us many friends as a result.
You must remember this was over 30 years ago. It's time to make friends with Vietnam....maybe they will help us fight China one and for all because that's the way we are headed.

If you put money into a country, you will get something out of it. Business, good relations, perhaps? If you were to go to Vietnam right now, you'll find few, if any people who actually have hostile attitudes to the US. Western companies already have numerous businesses there, they're not hard to spot.
The old common-sense policy of keeping your money to yourself doesn't work - America had its problems in the Great Depression, but refusing to buy from other countries just meant they weren't going to buy American, and thus doom the US into additional unnecessary years of economic depression.
A lot of good stuff can come from Vietnam, and ignoring them isn't going to do anyone any good.

The money our government is giving them to rebuild is just a fraction of the money our government made from that war..
Death and war means BIG DOLLARS to government. Rebuild then do it all over again...
NO to the NWO...
