well the correct way is too go orthodox being that your right handed.but a lot fighters do switch up to confuse their opponents so learn both ways over time.but for now stick to the conventional style first so you can get your basics down.then you can start with all that other stuff.

It all depends on what makes you comfortable and where you see the punches coming from. Ask yourself what punches you see coming easier, whether its from a southpaw stance fighting an orthodox fighter or orthodox vs. orthodox. IMO its alot easier being a southpaw all you have to do is move to your right, only problem is that its harder to throw combos than when the fight is orthodox vs. orthodox.

Apparently, you're comfortable with both stances so I suggest that you use both. Fight orthodox, i.e. right-handed, then shift to southpaw from time to time to confuse your opponent. Hagler was a master of that shifting tactic and he was unbeatable at middleweight for a long time.

Do you mean How do you know? Try both stances out in sparring and see which you like better. Most people like their power hand in the back. But there are exceptions. Winky Wright is a right hander and he`s a south paw.
