In a nutshell, Yes to both questions.

THe majority seem to think that "god" is some all-powerful, all-knowing entity who is both vengeful and merciful. If that were the case, possessing imperfect human qualities (emotions such as love, disdain, etc.) would render "god," himself, imperfect.

The Bible, quite the contrary, is a collection of fables and tales used to teach moral lessons, which most Christians generally take it as. However, most adherrents to fundamentalism fail to acknowledge that many of the passages contradict others; therefore, the Bible, itself, cannot be an accurate historical account. Also realize that the myriad of translations and interpretations make it almost impossible to give it any real historical credibility. Most of the supposed prophecies that were "fulfilled' were mere coincidences that occured IN SPITE OF, not due to, Biblical predictions. Case in point: the "revived Rome" that is spoken of can be attributed to the consolidiation of the European Union or even the rise of the USA. Who's to say which one is truly accurate?

No. Even other religions refer to Jesus. They don't hold Him in the same light as do Christians but they do say there was such a person and He was good. Jesus didn't die for a myth. People heard Him preach, saw His miracles, witnessed His crucifixion, saw and heard Him after He arose from the dead, and saw Him arise to Heaven. The people that wrote about Jesus, faith, the way of salvation, had no personal gain in what they were doing. In fact, some were martyred for it. A person doesn't write so much, believe so deeply, and risk his life for something that is false or a myth. The Bible and religion itself, has been around for an awful long time to be delusional.

anyone who tells you yes or no knows only as much as you do. no one knows what happens when we die or what created us. they are all best guesses by small humans trying to make sense of their world.

god might be just a delusion. im willing to bet that some god like being exists but thats just me. you have to make up your own mind and follow what you feel is right.

as for the bible, evidence shows that it is most likely some form of historical documentation. but from translation to translation and after several edits, it has been embellished in many ways.

No.

"Most scholars in the fields of biblical studies and history agree that Jesus was a Jewish teacher from Galilee who was regarded as a healer, was baptized by John the Baptist, was accused of sedition against the Roman Empire, and on the orders of Roman Governor Pontius Pilate was sentenced to death by crucifixion."

Yes, but some of the locations described and happenings in the bible might actually be real. But the supernatural parts or 'miracles' were just natural occurrences.
