i have already seen a recruiter and took a practice test. they said based on my scores already, i would automatically start at E-2 instead of E-1, so right now, scores are not an issue, i would just like to know what kind of programs are the best to get into

i guess instead of saying i'm good at math, i should have said i'm a junior in pre-calculus and got a 71 on the practice test when you 1st go into the recruiting office

The spanish would never come into play. You would be limiting yourself to working on an Aircraft Carrier if you went after that job as the only other boat that is nuclear is the submarine (closed to women). Getting the job is all based on your ASVAB scores and has nothing to do with how well you did in High School.
Added:
They don't give you rank based on ASVAB scores. You can go in as an E-2 or E-3 but that would either be based on how much college your have, or on some extra-curriculars you did in school ie, CAP or JROTC.

Besides scoring high on the ASVAB you also will have to take another exam to see if you have the mathematical aptitude for Nuclear Power. Study up on your algebra, physics, and chemistry. I would recommend that you try to become an ET (Electronics Technician) as they are more marketable in the civilian world when you retire/get out. Also being a Nuke is one of the few jobs in the Navy where you get automatically promoted to E-4 upon completion of "A" school, also you go through boot camp as an E-3 (not that rank means anything to a recruit except the pay is higher). You can also re-enlist for E-5 and get one of the highest if not the highest re-enlistment bonuses the Navy has to offer.

My DH is a Nuke ET. You do go through boot camp with a higher rank meaning more pay. You do get advanced a lot faster. You will be "stuck" with surface commands as women can't do submarines.
If you really want this take all the math and science you can. When DH went through A school he did all the math and science that I did in 4 years of high school and 4 years of college in about 4 months. (Chemistry, physics, algebra, trig...) Then he moved on to stuff I hadn't done. Calculus may be helpful but not necessary. I don't know what they studied when they got to Power School because that was all classified.
Nukes do have a high wash out rate but if you can make it through the program you have truly done something to be proud of. And the people we know who didn't make it did incredibly well in the fields they ended up in. Mostly conventional ETs.

the Nuke program has a very high washout rate. it is EXTREMELY hard work and very intensive. If you wash out, you could end up at the Mercy of the Navy and sent where they want you to go, not necessarily where you want to go.
your Spanish would be of limited use, you could try and take the DLPT to get Pro Pay, but since a large portion of the Navy are Native Spanish speakers, you probably won't qualify.
Wraeth: Nuke Pipeline goes in at E2 or E3, depending on scores. They are guaranteed E4 at the end of the Pipeline.

To get into the navy`s nuke program you must have taken Calculus in high school and past. You need to take the ASVAB test the navy recruter can set it up. ASVAB is The Armed Services Vocational Aptitude Battery is made up of verbal, math, and technical tests. Your score is one of the main factors determining what jobs will be available to you.
You line scores must be very high it get in.
When you come out of the program you will be a E-6

All the above info is good, but they left out one important thing. If you are in the Nuke program you will be on a sub. so i hope you like cramped spaces and dark
