The correct answer is Thank You...In no way are you being abused when an individual of faith prays for you...being included in those prayers is an act of love.... Don't even athiests' know what love is? You are not simply an unbeliever you sound as though their is something terribly wrong with you.... I'LL PRAY FOR YOU.... God Bless You and may you find love....

I am jealous that you have time to waste and appalled that you would fill it by thinking of an evil sinner like me. I made an impression on you, huh? No? Were you lying about the praying thing? Isnt that a sin or some crap? Hmm.

Honestly, what I do is say thank you.
Because if someone is really going to take time out of their day to possibly sit down and think a positive thought toward you for no reason but their own, then I certainly take it as a compliment.
I don't identify myself with any one religion because I don't think religion is important. I have other things to worry about, but if someone is going to do that then don't reply with a rude and sarcastic remark because the last thing anyone should do is insult someone's religion.

How about "I'll do nothing about it."
After all, if it's just mumbo-jumbo to a being who doesn't exist, how does it hurt you?
Now, I knew the sweetest wiccan lady who would respond that she would pray for them, too. Really put a few of them off.

Be polite, tell them "Thank you!" And, if they don't know you're atheist, "I'll pray for you as well!" It's not going to hurt anyone and keeps them happy.

Smile, and watch the exasperated christian walk away knowing that the reason they said this was because they could not answer your question about their god-beliefs rationally.

Eh, generally it's someone I know in some form or another, so I just say thinks. Even if I think it's silly, I know those that know me say it out of a kind gesture.

Hmmm, it's always an awkward situation. I usually try to point out that I appreciate the thought, as not to completely offend them.

Think in your head like they just said, "I'll be wishing the best for you", and just say thank you. It only means they want good things for you... be a little more open-minded.

Usually when a christian tells me that they are praying for me, I thank them and tell them that I am thinking of them also.....I know that *usually* their intentions are good so I do not criticize them for doing so.
