Is Buddhism the only truly good religion? The big three have far too much blood on their hands and too much suppression of the individual to qualify as being good religions.

noncrazed - Buddhism doesn't demand you follow the religion, it simply teaches you how to achieve a higher being. It's your choice to follow or not with no threats implied such as burning in a hell for eternity.

I think someone may have said it, but Buddhism is not a religion, but a way of life. It does not recognize any god or as such. Also, I can assure you that none of the major three deserve the bad reputation they have. Yes there is blood in their history, but that is everywhere. The bloodshed is not a part of the religion. Furthermore, religion just gives people a reason for rationalization. If people did not have religion to rationalize their actions and wills, they would find something else. At other times their was communism or socialism. Human beings need a justification for their actions and they will find it anywhere. If you are interested in the three religions, read the Bible, Torah and Quran, and judge for yourself. Read books by Martin Luther King, Malcolm X and others. I promise you'll be amazingly surprised.

Supression of the individual? What exactly do you think Buddaism teaches? The very same thing that you are objecting to.
Buddaism teaches that desire is suffering and once one has over come this then you are lost in the state of nirvana. You cease to be you, everything that makes you up, to be absorbed into the concept of the creator.
Buddaism seems to counter the desire to be an individual - to be who you are and to pursue what you want. It is about denial of the self, not embracing the self. How you could possibly think that this is a good thing and supports your view of what makes up a good religion is beyond me.
There are a lot of religions out there - but none of them are really the same as faith. Religions are creations of man, traditions and dogma designed to help people grow closer to G-d. This is also why they fail. Faith is a gift, knowing G-d. There is a difference. One can have faith without religion.
Perhaps you really need to both investigate the 'big three' and other religions on the planet before you claim Buddaism as not suppressing self.

I would say
No
No religion is good
I know nothing of Buddhism
But I know that any religion doesn’t give any place for change
They all stay in the past and when it collides with realty it doesn’t end well.
And more then every thing it an institution and that an opportunity for people who want power to get it.
In every religion even Buddhism there is some one else who tells you what is right and what is wrong.
This great power to be this person who decides what wrong and what is right. And most of the times people who want power are "evil" kind of people. So no matter how good the religion is, it’s always bad. Cause people are bad.

Again, it is not the religions that are the problem. If everyone really followed the spirit of their religions, there would be no such thing as "religious warfare." People do horrible things in the name of religion when really, religion has little or nothing to do with it- it's all politics or racism or what have you. Those people are the real problem. Buddhists are lucky to have so few followers who've sullied the name of their faith that way.

Buddhism is not really a religion. It's a way of life. Even Gautama Buddha said there is no god. As a way of life and wisdom, I hold Buddhism to be superior to all other Religions.

Buddhists are generally very happy, generous and kind people, but there's no need to label them by their beliefs, I don't think they would appreciate it..
Buddhists don't worship a deity or deities, but have more of a thoughtful philosophy that they live by..
No body NEEDS to choose one religion or another to belong on this Earth, it's not a pre requisite for anything, other than if satisfying an overbearing and illogical need to "belong", more usually a western phenominon for the mentally weak, frightened, ill informed, gullible or those with hidden agendas....
You know it makes sense..!

I'm not sure Buddhism is a religion. But I have heard some Buddhists recently blowing up churches and stuff, are you sure they are 100% peaceful? Still will be extremely difficult to top the glorious works of the big three.

I think you have to read more about Buddhism, don't judge a book by its cover, just learn it before giving some statement.
but I think, a good religion is if they have a holly book that REALLY come from God, not according to someone.
and the best is if their Holly book is never had changed forever, never re-edited, or re-written...
I'm sure, I'll give my trust in that religion

Good religion. If any of them is good to you then you better watch out it may be a cult.
No pain no gain!
Christianity. Persecution and oppression will come. Opposition does come. The world does not know God so they have issues with him.
Buddhism. You think you are coming back after death as a what? It is a fallacy.

You can't judge a religion by what a select few idiots have done.
And to give some perspective, there are THOUSANDS of religions that exist on this planet. There are plenty of religions that by your logic qualify as "good" religions.
