No. Medical or convalescent leave is not chargeable leave. Terminal leave in connection with transfer to the Disability Retired List is chargeable leave.

I'd say it would depend on the reason for the medical leave. Or how long you are going to be off work. For example, less than 2 weeks may not but more than 2 weeks may cause it to come off your balance. Check with your Financial Office to verify. And if anything, maybe they can put you on a Temporary Profile that allows you to work with limitations. Hope things get better for you.

No post surgery convolescent leave is not chargable against your leave ballance. Only regular and emergency leave is chargable against your leave balance.
