What does it say?

Please include views on religion, military, gay rights, global warming (it would be for that, right? it is water, not ice), abortion, immigration, social programs, etc.

In gereral, I'd say no, the government puts flouride (among other things) in the tap system that are good for you. Purified water is worse for your teeth and body in general because it has room to dissolve other things in your body that are supposed to be there. Water is a powerful solvent, even more so when there is no solute already in it. When it is "pure", its ability to dissolve becomes almost acid-like, though its pH remains the same.

Unfortunately some local tap water companies are subpar, as are some pipes in people's homes and schools. Where I live, the water is fine. Just remember, kids, recycling is fun!

be a bit more specific.

though in my opinion.. i'm still drinking bottled water.. where i live that water is seriously nasty... too much ammonia and lead.

anyone who believed that bottled water was all that deserves to be let down.

sorry, that water was filtered from the start.. production from a factory... didn't take much common sense to assume that.

it's just easier for me to get bottled than to try and get special equipment to filter my water and change the filters because the water is really that bad... the expense.. the time... installation...

i rather just get something that i can get past my lips at the local grocer. sure it's not from the springs of france but it's not from my faucet either thank god.

and if it takes filtering from machines circulated 7 times over or more.. fine... long as it doesn't make me sick.

drink the water where i live.. you'd be in the bathroom with diarrhea for hours. (also it's hard to wash in... it smells just like clorox)

anyone who says drink my water from the tap... well i dare them to come here and do it themself.. see what happens.. and i'm not running it 10 minutes or more just so it's almost half drinkable...

sorry.. it's not a scam... it's just professionally filtered water or vaporized water made available to the public. those who believed all that propaganda about the water being this or that... pure and from some exotic place where no one pees ... well they're stupid.. and should not be upright making decisions for the rest of us.

and no politician from iowa is going to tell me to do what he says.. sorry he obviously has never tasted real bad city water... and didn't the water rating in the usa just get a bad marker? such as a D-? sorry.. i'm getting filtered from a reputable company who has the equipment to do it effeciently to the point i can get it down my throat without barfing.

and people not recycling is not the fault entirely of the companies... we must partake.. it's called team work. besides it's not only plastics that are to blame. i see bottled water is the latest whipping poster child.. what next? moonpies aren't really from the moon OR a pie! OH THE CONSPIRACY!

everyone wants to complain about something.. this is just another one of those things.

I don't agree with the routine use of purified water to drink.

Reference a recent article in Florida Today Newspaper, August 2007, dentists have seen a marked upswing in cavities in children and adults who do not drink tap water which has fluoride in it in most major public water supplies.

A waste of money and a waste of resources. The plastic bottles are made from petroleum (read oil) products. Tap water is fine. That's where 99% of the bottled water starts out anyway. By the way, Evian is Naive spelled backwards.

"Purified" bottled water is a cheap scam that many, MANY people fall victim to.

Tap is just as good.

no i saw the world news report on how much energy it takes to ship it and send it where it needs to go. for newborns its ok because who knows whats swimmin in the tap. but for lil ol me ill survive it and if its realy THAT bad its the gov. responsibility to protect the people from that nonsense. a good alternitive to bottled water is filtered water. you can buy filters and they work good are disposable and some biodegradable, much better for the environment.
