No, because the cities and states cannot be punished for complying with federal law.

It means NOTHING to say that the cities are offering sanctuary to illegal immigrants -- because cities are already forbidden (by the very same federal immigration laws) from enforcing federal laws.

So, at worst, the cities are simply announcing that they will not do something that they are legally prevented from doing -- at best, they are doing nothing at all.

If you want cities to enforce federal laws -- change the federal laws so that they can. Until then, stop trying to punish cities who are only doing what the federal law REQUIRES them to do -- ignore the immigration status of individuals in the city.

yes it should...they are breaking the law...why should they receive funding from law abiding citizens...do our laws have sovereignty over us or can we just do what feels right...ours laws should be obeyed and enforced...
